Default best performing affiliate programs from many networks ordered by ECPM?

Hey guys,

I am trying to get my feet wet with affiliate marketing and working out how to choose a sub-niche to push.

To help me brainstorm I thought it would be great to see some of the more profitable programs out there aggregated from the different networks as I am just starting I don't have any access to affiliate networks. Ideally ordered by ECPM.

Also it would be neat if everything was just in the one place.

Any ideas? Sorry if this has been posted before. I've just started checking out the CPA area of the site.

I'm really surprised theres been no feedback on this.

Maybe it is because I am a beginner I am looking at things the right way, but wouldn't this be a great way to help identify organic SEO keywords to target by working out what can and does sell through affiliate networks.

There seems to be a number of scammy looking half-baked products that aggregate affiliate offers but they don't give any clear 'comparing apples to apples' metrics, and don't seem to have a comprehensive list of offers.

As a PHP developer myself, maybe there is a hole in the market for the kayak.com of affiliate deals ranked across standardised metrics?

This is not exactly answering your question, but if you have not already had a look at offervault.com this site should help you compare offers.

If you search for a specific niche offer, then you will be able to find out which cpa networks have offers you can promote to the niche you have chosen. If more than one network run the same offer, you will will be able to see which one pays the best.

Offervault will help you decide which CPA network to sign up to.

Hope this helps.

David

many people are using CPAlead.com but from what i've heard in time this will make you loose your visitors... mostly because CPAlead.com is based on surveys, popping out when your visitors come...

Thanks David. It's a start. I am surprised there don't seem to be any services like this that are easier to browse through to help one brainstorm. But I'm sure they are lurking out there somewhere online!

I'll take a look either way.

Yeah, offervault is a great resource for finding which networks carry which CPA offers.

I think in theory that would be absolutely great, having one centralized aggregator of CPA offers and CPA offer metrics. I would certainly pay for such a service!

But, I think it will be hard convincing networks to give up their offers data because 1) they use all this information to promote offers themselves, so they would be really hesitant to give up this information to the public because they would want to take advantage of it and 2) leveling out the playing field like this may actually do the opposite as intended. Think about economic principles. If everybody has access to the same information, then everybody will swarm to the most profitable and best converting offers. Because of this demand on the promotion side, the advertisers of the offers are more willing to decrease payout combined with increased competition for keywords/domains/etc related to that offer.

So yeah, it may would, but I think it would be hard to get networks to give up the information to make it possible. Plus, I like finding those hidden gems that nobody knows about!

awesome idea though

I've never heard of a network being rated by ECPM?

I am very happy to see that you are finding value to being an OfferVault member. I just wanted to comment on the ECPM idea.

ECPM, or any metric that is based on commission/earnings can be skewed by a higher or lower payout rate, so it is not the best metric to base decisions on. A better metric is the conversion or "1 in X" factor. Since this is only marginally affected by payout (i.e. the higher the payout the more the initial attraction from publishers, so more traffic can influence conversions, marginally), conversion is really what matters.

But it is also a hollow statistic without knowing the lead-in creative or the channel that it was measured from. Since most marketing campaigns are targeted through a specific channel, intending to reach a specific Profiled Group (population), conversion is only relevant when speaking about a specific channel's performance to the target audience.

Offervault will be making several changes that will allow some crude measures of popularity and profitability, but any measure except your own traffic will be the litmus test for you. In 13 years I have learned that everyone's traffic is unique. And yes, Offervault is a great place to find the hidden gems (and more will be coming).

Props to all the Offervault affiliates. Get in the Vault!
