Nothing is worse for me than getting that dreaded email from your CPA network indicating "Jane Doe" is no longer with the company, here is your new affiliate manager. To me, it's back to the drawing board with that CPA network because you have to re-explain your business model, build your rapport, etc. with the new affiliate manager. This is happened to me countless times on major CPA networks and I know that's just the nature of this business but was curious to know if that happens a lot to others as well. |

I've gone through quite a through as an affiliate on other networks. The turnover in this industry is alarmingly high and it is ultra annoying to deal with it. With my own network I try to really take care of my account managers (especially pay wise) so there is no need for them to hop between networks. The relationships built with affiliates is very important to me and they're a direct representation of my network. Knock on wood - we have not lost a single account manager since opening. |

Yep, it stinks hardcore but its something you must deal with. The only positive spin I acn think of is that if you never did keep a good relationship with your affiliate manager, then getting a new one will give you a new opportunity to start building one from the get go! You can more easily become your affiliate managers favorite affiliate if you are there right from the start calling them and building a relationship...which comes with great perks! |

I pretty much stopped talking to AMs because they have a tenure of roughly 5 months average |

I've often wondered how CPA companies manage to retain AMs. 3-4 months of seeing how it all works (seeing the action and methods that work) must surely make you want to do it for yourself? Can I be an online AM working from home - and also use the system for my personal sites? I'm sure I could provide value to the company - at least, for a while |

I think it's the nature of the beast for sure and I can see how annoying this must be - but look on the bright side a fresh new start can be a positive thing. I recently started working with new affiliates and the chance to start fresh has really resulted in a win - win situation.

What makes us unique is we have always kept our network small so we can concentrate on the relationships with our affiliates.

![]() I've heard stories of a lot of these aff managers to either jump ship (other network) or simply go self-employed since they have new gained insight into markets. A lot of them run affiliate sites on the side tho, which is a bit contradictory to their job-description IMO. Nick

Some of them even take the position just to see what everyone else is doing. The CPA network world is as cut throat as any business, even worse the the IM niche. |
