I am somewhat of an experienced Affiliate marketer and am making a killing on movie CPA offers. I use affiliatebuzz.com (pushplay) and Video Performance Network (Netflix).
Affiliatebuzz used to pay $15 but now drop to $12 for US signup and $5 for Int.

and VPN Netflix paying $19 per signup (US traffic only)

i also have tried Neverblue but couldn't get accepted to their Netflix offer, i used the netflix (email submit) for a while and make around $50 a day.

My site is TVLinko.com, with traffic 25-30k unique traffic a day and growing fast!

the site's been tuned to top notch for CPA traffic. check it out and let me know your thought. I'd be happy to help anyone who'd love to make big bucks on this market as well as it's very lurcative and i have made over 100 sales and $1000 in one day (it's a sunday).

Videolemon.com used to be a good site back in 2006. I get huge referral traffic from them. They used Zanga, which is bad toolbars that give you spywares and virus. Visitors can only access their site now by downloading hotbar (zanga) probably pay 1.50 for each download.

picking a niche is basically deciding what your passion is? music? movies? health care? fitness? etc.
then set it up is easy, get a great domain name, keyword+branding is best. then start with shared hosting, then virtual dedicated, then dedicated server as traffic builds up.
I suggest you pay a SEO team for building links, making site SEO optimized and all that. im no expert on that and not gonna pretend to be one.

build it up (14 hours a day in front of a computer) for a few months. Many of the stuff (youtube videos on the right, flickr pics and twitter app) are just API application, you can pay someone to get them done for you once you have all the data.

That is unless it's a really really. REALLY Niche products that you're targeting on with High CPA and above average conversion rate.

Organic traffic is good, but I definitely wouldn't say it's "stupid" to use paid traffic to make money with CPA, not stupid at all. This is how a lot of the biggest money makers do it. Everything comes down to your cost per acquisition. If my cost per acq. on even a $10 offer is consistently $5, then I'm gonna try and scale and do that a thousand times in a day.

Paid traffic is a great great strategy to start with before trying to SEO for a lot of sites. You get to see exactly which keywords are converting before trying to target those keywords with organic traffic. Too many people build out SEO sites based on certain keywords then find out months later that those keywords weren't converting. Paid traffic is easily tracked, can be scaled once a proof of concept is established, and can be transferred to various platforms once demographics are established. Once you have a converting campaign solidified, it really is like putting $1 in and getting $2 out, over and over. It's predictable.

Your type of site is an excellent example of an SEO success, mainly because all your movie and tv show titles are keywords people would type in... (watch spartacus online)..... Now, I bet you would make tons more money if you bid properly for those via ppc, and your clicks would be extremely cheap done correctly.

Interesting. I never consider paid traffic but your idea makes sense.
For now, my SEO team is working on getting keywords like watch movies online.. watch online movies..etc. that get my site on the first page of google. which will most likely bring triple to 4x traffic that i have now.

like i mentioned above, i have a SEO team focus entirely on on-site SEO and off-site SEO, keywords research, building backlinks, referral links, Articles marketing, press releases, etc etc. There's a lot of work done to be on top of Google.

wow, you are really fast in answering question, i also have a tv related site, i embed video, so it is really time consuming, looking for videos, maintainning them....and i used to use cpalead, hard to get traffic, so i just going to give it up, i am happy to see your post here, thank you.

you can convert in CPA so much better and faster in tv links site than streaming sites, the other advantage is usually the most searched movies are the ones that's about to be in threater. You can't do it in a streaming site whereas i can post movies that's going to be in threater 2 months early to catch the traffic.

Sure i want to make a tv links site, i think it is a far better way than streaming site, and i want to change my streaming site into a tv links site in the next few days.

I also have a movie site but it doesn't have enough traffic. I used Youtube, twitter and Facebook for marketing.

that's not really a lot..my goal is to be in at least top 10000 in a year after all the SEO work.

what's your site? the best you can do is to be included in the OVguide.com listing, though i don't think they're accepting anymore movie tv sites.

maybe you can work on your SEO.

Hi there would like a movite linksite also, i mostly use cpalead and have a tv site (see link) but lately the traffic is dying i do alot of backlinking using sites like tv duck sidereel and have done the following so far and also was (or still am im not sure) on google page one for one of my keywords but im stuck now on how to get more traffic without ppc. have done other things like press release and blog commentating

since you asked, Google doesn't response well to site with over 2 dashes in keywords in the domain name. THREE is TOP.

keyword-keyword-keyword.com is the most one should use. You have a lot of dashes that might trigger google as spamming in the domain name.

I think you can either go with building a video search engine or tv/movie directory, both can easily be monetize using adsense and affiliate network.

Of coz not, there's movies just in threater and movies not even in threater yet, but it'll drive even more traffic by having them in database and google, thus drive even more traffic to the partners sites i affiliate on.

It doesn't matter if they don't have the movie, once they sign up on the other site, it's no longer my problem and i pocket the commission.

Well in the long run it might be your problem if you're advertising something that is misleading to the user.

not really.. in a way, the most important traffic is unique traffic, first timer on my site, that's the only traffic that will convert for me. A repeated visitor is good and all, but they don't make any $ for me. Though pretty soon i will join my fourth campaign that include CPM banners to make money on pageviews.

Your traffic isn't "unique", it's misleading if the user is searching for a specific movie and then the offer doesn't have it.

1. I'm assuming that you own tvlinko.com
2. I'm also assuming that you've created the content and it's all original (I think this might be where I'm going wrong)
3. By clicking on the "Stream Movie in HD" button, your site tvlinko.com eventually leads the browser to a variety of companies that offer TV and Movie viewing online.

Now, tvlinko.com is an absolutely massive site as far as I can tell. It seems that it has thousands of webpages with accurate and relevant content on thousands of movies and television shows. Did you create (or pay to create) this entire site? Or is it somewhat of a shared "template" of sorts that you've uploaded and you solely focus on driving traffic to it? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, otherwise it seems that a) it would require a lot of time and money to create a site that size and b) it would require a lot of time and money to stay current. So, I'm guessing this is "web asset" and not a "cash cow". If it's unique and original you've done an incredible job.

One more basic question as this opp is new to me: what is the difference between a tv links site and a streaming site? I already know what a streaming site is.

Clarification or correction on these points would be awesome.

To answer some of your questions

Yes, i did create the site, it's more of a platform that i can build a lot of different API on it, ex. youtube videos, twitter, flickr related to a certain movie.
Took me about 6 months, but then i was just a ameteur programmer and did a whole lot of updates and revision afterward. The very first thing i did was to just build a database, not the site itself.
All i have to update are new movies & shows, there's really not much to update, i can work pretty much 8 hrs a month if i want to.

I'd say it's as much a web asset as it's cash cow since it's bringing me massive cash and creating a brandname tvlinko.com that i could sell later on.

the reason some of the affiliate links don't open up a new window or tab because i figure visitors are more likely to go thru with the signup when it's in the same window and not a pop-up..
It's All About Marketing and think like a buyer.

- Looking @ your compete.com, it shows minuscule traffic up until 12/2009 when it really started growing, when did you do during that period to get that increase in traffic? Also between months 3/2010 and 4/2010 there was a huge increase in traffic, what was this from?

- Your domain was registered in 2007, have you been working on the site since then?

- What percentage of your traffic comes from search engines? Compete.com shows your traffic is from these sources, is this about right?:

So, let me see if I get this right (this is a little new to me): 1. I'm assuming that you own tvlinko.com 2. I'm also assuming that you've created the content and it's all original (I think this might be where I'm going wrong) 3. By clicking on the "Stream Movie in HD" button, your site tvlinko.com eventually leads the browser to a variety of companies that offer TV and Movie viewing online. Now, tvlinko.com is an absolutely massive site as far as I can tell. It seems that it has thousands of webpages with accurate and relevant content on thousands of movies and television shows. Did you create (or pay to create) this entire site? Or is it somewhat of a shared "template" of sorts that you've uploaded and you solely focus on driving traffic to it? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, otherwise it seems that a) it would require a lot of time and money to create a site that size and b) it would require a lot of time and money to stay current. So, I'm guessing this is "web asset" and not a "cash cow". If it's unique and original you've done an incredible job. One more basic question as this opp is new to me: what is the difference between a tv links site and a streaming site? I already know what a streaming site is. Also between months 3/2010 and 4/2010 there was a huge increase in traffic, what was this from? - Your domain was registered in 2007, have you been working on the site since then? - What percentage of your traffic comes from search engines? Btw, the site is pretty impressive which leads me to my first question, did you do this site yourself or have someone build it and how much did something like this cost.
