Prosper202 Vs Built-In Network Tracking System

Most networks have a 'built-in' tracking system.

What can Prosper202 do for you that the 'built-in' tracking sytem of the networks can't?

It's not really What it can do that the network built-in systems can't it's 3rd party redundancy tracking that you want to do with it, that way you have a way to track your own campaigns and not have to completely rely blindly on the network traffic. As me and RyanEagle have said before "Not all networks are created equally" so more nefarious ones will try and shave conversions from you without you knowing and if you have a 3rd party means of tracking you can go back to your AM and say "What's going on here, a tracking issue more then likely, but I'm showing 10 conversions in my Prosper202 and my network stats are only showing 8" A good affiliate manager will investigate the issue for you and more then likely credit your account with the conversions if it really was a tracking issue. If they are a shady network I would stop running traffic, get paid, and move on to a more reputable network.

You ask your AM (or do it yourself depending on which network your on) to attach your tracking pixel from prosper 202 on the page that must be reached for you to receive a conversion.

Every time this page is landed on prosper 202 will track that as an action.

Last time I checked they had a hosted solution there at Prosper202 where they hosted the app for you. I believe they had both a free version and a paid version with a few extra features and details.

A dedicated server is a big cost for what you want. I have prosper installed on my hostgator reseller account fine.

Why not install it on the main domain, get a cheap .info domain and install it there?

Personally, I would only consider dedicated hosting if I was doing big volume.

Others may have a different view, but this works well for me.
