Default Does anyone use adbrite here?

Hi quys,

In a bid to to increase the monetisation of the traffic at this blog free-trafficsecrets.com I added an adbrite text/image ad hoping to earn money by PPM but it seems that its not working that way.

Again some of the imge and video ads that show up are just adult related.I can't understand seeing an ad on vibrators on a blog like that.

Your urgent assistance will be appreciated here.

Thanks
Afam

I dont recommend adbrite if you're the publisher but I recommend if you're the advertiser

adbrite is like google adwords, except they are less strict and not as organized as google adwords.
I tried adbrite because someone told me that I got get 5 cent clicks but the whole campaign never took off.
Even though it went live, it just never received one single click:S.

I stopped using it and never looked back.
Adwords is still number one to me, even though I would like to try out adbrite's fullpage ads.
You can get 1 view for $0.001 which is not much money depending on if you convert or not.

Just started on adbrite, not very impressed. Easier to use than Adwords and is much less restrictive on what you can do but I'm confused by their billing and their way of optimizing...

I've used it for 3 campaigns, I think. But not lately. I didn't have problems getting any clicks. In fact, I could get about 100 clicks/day, easily. But no one ever bought.

I'll still consider using it and here's why...

1. You can set your cpc's to .o5 cents and you'll get a much better response.

2. You can create up to 100 ppc type ads. The most I've ever created for one campaign is about 20. And... this is cool... you can see which ads get the most clicks. Of course you can delete non-performers, etc... and edit ads to optimize.

So basically, you can determine which of your ads convert the best, then... head over to Google, MSN, or Yahoo and use them. You can get opimized ads for much less then you'd pay for doing it at the major se's.

I imagine there are demographic/market differences regarding users at Adbrite and the 3 majors. But I haven't seen any great disparities, yet.

I've read that Adbrite is good for entertainment related markets; gamers, etc. But I can't confirm that. Never marketed to that bunch.

I removed adbrite from my site after it made my site 30% slower to load... not highly profitable though..

Did you use keyword targetting or the demographic targetting where you specify what audience you want your ads to be shown to?

I swear I didnt get any traffic at all at $0.05 per click...not even impressions:S
And my campaign was approved!

Adbrite shows non-targeted ads in my site so I removed them... I use clickbooth since yesterday... let see the result.

I had used adbrite as a publisher but it was disappointing.

The ads are not connected to my content and it seemed that they don't have many ads to rotate for a site. As a result, the CTR is very low.

I'd suggest you try Kontera, Infolinks or Chitika with Adsense instead.

Not recommended. They CPM is around $0.40 which is consider low.
However, you can have a try to see whether it can bring you good revenue.

I spent over $5K on adbrite as an advertiser in the last 3 months...
Not sure about the publishing side.

But you MUST target sites. and never go for a "run of network" if you're an advertiser... otherwise you'll get screwed.

Adbrite, as with most CPC adsense alternatives, kind of sucks.

The best adsense replacement I've found so far is chitika. Pay arounds 50% - 70% of adsense in most cases.

I read a post somewhere about using adbrite to get the really cheap visitors to a page that has a few other CPM ads on it that pay more than you're paying for the hits... I've heard you can get 1,000 visitors for $1 or something, so if you can figure it out there's some decent money to be made.

Some kind of arbitrage, maybe it will spark some ideas for somebody here.

I'm tired of my signature... Deleted.

Adbrite is not a good alternate specially for the publishers, only yahoo is more than a reliable and best paying google alternative but it works only with the american market and other international publishers are really dumping their earning into the pockets of such adsense alternative companies
