I think once you activate your account (it may charge 5 to 10$) the amount will be credited to your account. I'm not sure about it, as it says the credit goes to only those guys who have received the e-mail.

The link does not give you $100 in free ad credit. You should first get a hostgator account and they will send you a coupon code. After signing up for adwords, you should activate it with a credit card and then enter the coupon code.

Another option is to sign up for hostgator with a coupon so the first month is only $0.01 and then you get the Adwords $100 coupon. If you need the hosting, continue with it, if you dont, trash it.

Also, I think you just need a new credit card per AdWords account activation, so if you have 3 cards you can get 3 accounts at $100 per account. Not 100% certain about this but thats how it used to be

That is correct. You need a new cc card or a VCC(virtual credit card) with preloaded money on it.

You also need a new adwords accounts per coupon.
