As CPA and affiliate marketers, we often find that we need to protect our traffic sources. This isn't because the traffic is low quality -- it's because CPA networks often have their own internal teams of affiliates, and so we want to make sure not to give away our secrets. Sometimes it's important to hide the referer. I recently found this site, and so far it's working really well (note that it's referer.us, with the word "referrer" spelled wrong ). The redirect is relatively fast, which is important. I'm familiar with blanking the referrer buy using a double-meta refresh, but (correct me if I'm wrong) that tended not to work with all browsers (Chrome, for example). Also, I often found it to be slow watching that url bounce around until it got to its final destination. I'm not associated with referer.us at all, so this isn't an advertisement in disguise I want to know if anyone has any experience with it. I'm also interested to know what you network owners think when you see a blank referrer.

I started using them for one of my campaigns and the redirect seems fast, and referrers are blanked within the program stats. Not much more I can say, and am looking for feedback from others.

I think that PHP redirection also works. PHP Code: |
| >> STOP... << Stop struggling alone. Stop wasting time. Stop being scammed. | |

I wouldn't trust all of my redirects going through a server other then my own personally. What if it goes down and you're sending paid traffic? |

| The code supplied is a simple redirect. It will not perform any referer blanking or spoofing solutions. You would do well to check out Brad's CPA-R as a spoofing solution specifically. While it involves the creation of a site to host the redirects and make sure all referers appear to come from totally legitimate sources, it is perhaps one of the simplest solutions that will meet all your needs.

You dont wanna hide your referrers for CJ, clickbank , shareasale, link share lol. If I am right they dont steal your landers/campaigns like other cpa networks. I remember someone saying double meta refresh dont work right now. But I am not sure though.Cpa networks can easily view referrers in their admin. |
