I just got accepted into a couple of CPA networks and looking around I find that there are a lot of new terms used that I've not heard of before. One of them is a tracking pixel. I did some search on what it is, but all I found out was that it's used for tracking - something which I figured out on my own. But what I really want to know is what is the right way to use them? Some people mentioned that you should put it in your thank you page to track conversions, but in the case of CPA, you have no control over any pages after someone clicks on your link. Or am I missing something here? |

For example, one of the most popular tracking softwares for people working with PPC is Prosper202. If you add Prosper's tracking pixel to an offer it will be able to tell you what keywords are bringing more conversions, what landing pages are performing better, etc... William | |

So you're not supposed to put it on the page where the offer shows? But how do I add the tracking pixel to a page after the conversion? |

| No... if you did that then the pixel would fire every time someone looked at the offer page whether they completed it or not and then your stats would be showing conversions when no conversion actually took place. Quote:

The conversion tracking pixel only track conversion they refer to. Even you got 100 signup a day and load that pixel, the cpa network will not bill you for that because they got cookies identify. They will only bill you when user click the ad through their publisher, finished the signup and touch the pixel.
