Default How To Properly Split Test An Offer

I am finally ready dive into the world of CPA, after almost a year (on and off) of learning, reading, etc, but I have just a few questions about testing offers before I get actually get wet.

Q1) Testing - What are the best FREE ways to test an offer?

Q2) PPC Testing - What is an appropriate amount to spend on testing an
offer before pulling the plug, or running with the offer?

Q3) How long should you test an offer?
-At what point do you decide; Okay, I feel this offer will be a good one to promote, or will not be a god one to promote. Do you base it on the amount of leads? Do you base it on the amount of leads -vrs- how many days the test has been running, or are there other factors used to base this decision on?

Although I've never done one yet, I feel after all the learning I've done I can successfully run a test campaign. It's just the things I mention here that I still don't fully understand.

Welcome to the CPA section.
I test by article marketing via direct link, others will try a facebook campaign . It depends on what your comfort level is.

You are going to get a lot of different answers here. Everybody does things in a way they are comfortable with.

The most important thing is that you take action and take it now, if you are already approved with a network select a offer that you are comfortable with and start finding ways of promoting it.

Take action , even if the results are crappy you will learn (not my words I learned that from someone else here)
Don't go down the rabbit hole of PPC with your wallet and use your head to see how to promote to your users

There is a lot of free information here on this forum and if you are willing to spend money on PPC it would be better spent on the war room where you can get a education that pays for itself many times over

you already have the tools of almost a year of reading per your post, put away the ebooks and $hit and take action

I usually run about 50-70 clicks to a offer via article marketing to see if I have a conversion, if I do I ramp it up from there.

Please Warriors , keep posting your niches in your sig....

You need to build a relationship with your affiliate managers. The best affiliate managers will tell you what offers are working well (and not just the offers that make them money).

It really depends what traffic source you're using - if you are using paid traffic there's no free way to test an offer. You just have to build out a campaign and split test between several offers.

Let it run and when you get enough data - start dropping off the offers that aren't working.

The amount you spend to test an offer depends on how much the offer pays you. There are no set numbers in this game - you just have to get out there and test.

Article marketing and video marketing can be good alternatives. Actually, if you are short on money you can use them not only to test offers, but to run real campaigns and make your budget before moving to more expensive traffic sources.

Q2) PPC Testing - What is an appropriate amount to spend on testing an

Impossible to say. It depends on your PPC platform, offer, CPC, etc... However, if you don't have too much money to test just start with short form submits and look for ways to get cheap clicks. In this case, I think that even $30 can be enough to figure out if you have a winner or not. This is not a rule, though. Each campaign has its own specific factors and the only way I could give you a more accurate answer would be by analyzing the campaign itself.

Q3) How long should you test an offer?
-At what point do you decide; Okay, I feel this offer will be a good one to promote, or will not be a god one to promote. Do you base it on the amount of leads? First, I decide which traffic source I'm going to use. Then I choose a vertical. The offer itself uses to be the last step (except when I find a gem while looking for another thing). I then browse some networks, use OfferVault.com, make some research on forums, talk to other affiliates and, mainly, contact at least one of my affiliate managers.

Although I've never done one yet, I feel after all the learning I've done I can successfully run a test campaign. It's just the things I mention here that I still don't fully understand.

So take action! PPC is a science. I use to say that finding a winner with PPC is just like finding the cure for a desease. It requires some work, tests and investment, but once you get it the benefits are tremendous. So start testing, make some bets, lose some money and you will learn how to play this game sooner than you think.

>> STOP... <<
Stop struggling alone. Stop wasting time. Stop being scammed.
