I am copletely new to cpa so I am foggy on some concepts. The most common that Ive been seeing is the landing page. Here is where I start to feel stupid because this seems like such an easy concept. What is a landing page exactly? is it the domain that I purchase? the blog that I write? Is it the link in the advertisement that people see first before anything else? Ive always been a visual learner so if you have any advice for that type of learner or maybe a landing page with an offer attached that i can see maybe I can make some sense of it. Thanks to everyone in advance My name is Josh by the way and I appreciate how knowlegable everyone is here. looking forward to working with you! Josh |

It's all good pimpin' - everyone's gotta start somewhere. The short description: a page used to prequalify the consumer for the product (or grab their attention). Sometimes used to further explain the product / service before the sale. |

Landing pages, bridge pages, jump pages all mean the same thing. You may here them used interchangeably. A landing page can take on a few different forms. Your landing page could be a review style page that reviews several different offers and allows your user to make a choice. Your landing page could be one chock full of testimonies on one product to get the user confident in buying and ready to click through. Your landing page can be built to collect email optins so you can email the users offers down the road and build a long term asset. In essence - a landing page is a page on your site that is purely meant to help presell your traffic on an offer that you are promoting. You can direct link lots of offers (depending on your traffic source) because they are simple and don't require a lot of presell. However if the user needs to pull out a credit card to complete the offer - then you are likely to want to presell them and really make sure to catch all of the conversions on the offer that you can. If you are going to be building and testing your own landing pages then I suggest you pick up a copy of Tim Ashes book - |
