Hi all,
So I've been promoting an offer for a week or so just testing it out. Overall I was converting at around 6%. So, I decided to really give it a go and so far today I have sent 218 visitors. Suddenly...just today....0% conversions! Is this normal? Is something happening on the backend that is keeping my conversions from being counted? Should I just keep going and see if it will catch up? Any opinions are appreciated. |

Check and see if the offer got pulled from the network. Dang CPA companies never think to tell you that. They will usually compensate you though.

Offer could have been pulled, or you could have been blacklisted by the advertiser for non-converting leads.

Good suggestions. I'll check with my AM to see whats up. I really didn't push a ton of traffic and only pulled $37 from this offer over a week.
Meanwhile, I have changed my campaign to another offer at another network. |

Luke sample is corect...
You could also be seeing a direrance in the quality of traffic... If the traffic is from somewhere less then then convertions could be less. I had some traffic from one place converting at 60 - 70 % on a daily basis... One day it was at 90%! Beleive it or not... But i took that same offer and did a press release ( diferant traffic ) and the convertion rate was no where near the same... So it was because of the traffic not the offer. You never mentioned the offer NOT WORKING so maybe this is your problem. Micah Rush |

Where is the offer at? Is your traffic from ppc or seo or something else..? All of those have different answers. Your first step is to see if the ad/site is still there!
Also, do you have stats for the site? (Like google analytics). This will tell you where people are coming from to reach your offer and you can assess if one of the traffic sources changed or if it's just a slow week... Hope this helps. -Mike Cowles. <>< |

Sometimes when I see a stop in traffic I pause the campaign and re-start in a day or so. Or, like stated above, you could have been pulled. Affiliate managers should tell their affiliates when an something has stopped.

I didn't really understand if you're promoting your own product or a 3rd party, but in any case, the only way to know if the problem is with the site is to track as many of their actions as possible, e.g. entry-exit pages, how long they stay on the site, if they are following the necessary actions etc, and what the patterns of their movements around the site are (if this is your site it's a good idea to track this, if it's a 3rd party site then try sending traffic from yet another source and see if the same thing happens again or not).
The only way to know is to test a few variables, and then again, like Mike Cowles said it may just be a slow week, it happens... hope the conversions pick up again quickly. Cheers, Kunle |
