Yes, as Chris said you will see this message when applying to some offers that have certain requirements. It doen't mean that the advertiser or networks don't want you to make money with them, but there are some affiliates that may drive bad traffic or use promotional methods that don't generate conversions for the advertiser. If it really bothers you just start using a network that's more flexible and doesn't require approval for specific offers very often. William |

| Correct, I have mainly noticed it primarily on Health supplements and similar type products. Which probably is largely brought on by the FTC changes, so the advertisers want to make sure your not iframing the terms of service or doing anything else that could get you and the advertisers in trouble.

A rant is good every now and again! As described, many CPA offers have very stringent guidelines or have been promoted against those guidelines in the past, so its a way for networks to limit the bad quality leads. Networks have a balancing act of keeping advertisers happy and keeping affiliates happy. Its a valid rant hehe | |

Thanks for the response everyone. I've since cooled off and seen the reason for this. They're just trying to make sure that the advertiser gets quality leads. I was in a "grab-n-go" mode this morning. Grab the code/creative and go promoting and felt frustrated by this minor barrier. It's all good now. Thanks! |

I know that we personally have to protect the advertisers against certain types of traffic on EWA - about 90%+ of the offers are auto approve but some need to be approval only. We reach out to affiliates, determine if they are OK'd for it and then they are usually set to auto-approve. |

Yeh... What everbody else said is correct. Some advertisers are very stringent on the traffic source so the offer is set to require approval. We also require approval on Edu Offers, and some Trial/Rebill offers. Just because when you have a "wide variety" of publishers you want to make sure whoever jumps on an offer is pushing valid/wanted traffic. Once we build a relationship with a publisher, we just auto approve the offer for the person. But if we have someone that just joined yesterday and they want to pump traffic to $25+ first/second page Edu offers, you can bet we are going to ask them a few questions first - call it due diligence if you will. It keeps both sides of the house happy. ![]() Brian |

Advertisers sometimes have restrictions on how offers are promoted, so it's necessary to make sure everybody's on the same page.
