What do you guys make of CPA Lead banning thousands of publishers, not paying them without any explanation? I was totally surprised at this and I have a lot of friends that lost money for no reason. I wonder if they're going through some sort of financial problem or something. Maybe legal problems? Maybe both? Anyone still run there or are you guys leaving for competitors? |

That is Crazy... I remember StomperNet owning me over $30K and I was never fully paid out, and I am far from the only one that got screwed over. I have not pushed any CPALead offers for at least a year, they were starting to become a lot less professional, Blow and Hookers in Vegas has its limits... |

Wow this is harsh I actually was thinking about signing up as a publisher too. I'm glad I never did! I'm with Adscend Media, Smart E Offers, & Conversion Exchange. Thanks for this post!

I think it's pure madness. They should have at least given a warning before terminating my account. Pushed the same traffic, the first two months and was fine, got paid on time. Now, 3rd month comes along, CPAlead waits until the end of the month to terminate my account. I lost about $4k with them, this past month. I'm just frustrated with this whole thing, and trying to pick myself back up again. |

Looks like CPALead is going down. I got banned too and lost a few hundred. They even close accounts inactive for 30 days. They will end up with a nice 6-7 figure sum after banning thousands of affiliates and keeping all the money. Not bad huh?

Ryan Eagle is going around spreading rumors to help jump start his new network that is set to compete with us, called BlamAds. So take what he says with a grain of salt because he only stands to benefit from comments like this. We have been terminating a lot of publishers on our network recently due to our advertiser's requests. If we want to work with higher tier advertisers, we have to clean up our network - and fast. We have a rather large compliance team reviewing every single account on our network (about 100,000) to ensure every single publisher on our network meets our TOS. Don't worry Ryan Eagle at BlamAds, you can still have the publishers that we reject. These are the reasons why we are terminating accounts: 1. Account is inactive for 30 days. In this case, we will send the publisher a full check for the remaining amount even if they didn't reach the threshold. 2. Using bots to auto-fill our offers. This is an immediate ban without a chance of getting back into our network. We have found A LOT of this recently. 3. Spamming. Spamming sites like Craigslist or Facebook will get you in deep trouble. Even if it's just a "one time" deal, you are still jeopardizing your whole account. 4. Fake content. If a user completes a survey, and does not receive their content, that is bad for our industry and the end-user experience. In cases like this, we will ban the publisher's account. However, publishers that are banned for this reason, can still come back and create another account with us as long as they give out REAL CONTENT. If they are caught with fake content again, we'll revoke earnings / terminate again. Let's keep CPA lead clean together for the honest publishers who are earning a living and who deserve the best offers available. If you find someone who has fake content, who is spamming, or using bots to fraud our offers, please report them to Security. We <3 our honest hard working publishers and we'll do whatever we can to protect them. If anyone wants to contest the reason why they are banned, please PM me with your first name and your publisher ID and I will personally look into your account on one condition: If I find any fake content, adult material, or evidence of bots, I have the right to post the evidence here in this forum. If this doesn't sound good to you, then please wait for our compliance team to respond. |

I am sorry I forgot to mention that if I find out that you were unrightfully banned from our network, I will apologize to you, reinstate your account, and give you a payout bump. I would not want to put any of our legitimate publishers who played by the rules through this process, I would sincerely make it up to them.

Cpaleadtroy I have been following the discussion very carefully on here and at dp forum and i would like to ask just for reference after reading the terms and conditions of the network, what sites or content do you prefer for Cpalead publishers to have,as there seems to be a lot of confusion on this issue since alot of publishers started with movie and television streamed sites or download sites which have had a effect on there site or accounts being banned because of it. i understand the terms and conditions of cpalead and have followed them by removing them sites from my account and starting to create valued content in many other niches, I love being involved in Cpalead and taking part with new ideas but how do we in future if we ever get banned know what for? i have not been banned as of yet and do not intended to be either. I monitor all traffic to my sites by my awstats host account in my cpanel and Google analystics but the main concern for me and others is that for a good decent website to flourish take longer then 30 days so how come publshers are being banned if in that case for making genuine valued content which is not copyright all uniqe yet they could be banned. Can you please tell what sites are deemed okay to promote offers on in future. Thanks from a confused cpalead network lover andrew |

Almost everyone that is banned is given a reason, whether they admit it or not. In most cases we have affiliates who were caught red handed who knew they were breaking the TOS, but still want to argue that the ban was unjustified in an attempt to tarnish our image. This whole thing was blown way out of proportion, and I am here to set the record straight out in the open. In reference to your question about content, the best type of content to monetize is content that you own or content that you have resell rights to. Without giving away too many of our publisher's secrets, you can find a lot of digital content on eBay that has resell rights (eBooks, Templates, Digital Art). Usually they will re-bundle and re-brand this content as their own. I am still looking for publishers who feel they were wrongfully banned, to take me up on my offer to review their account personally. I am an owner of CPAlead, and it's in my best interest to ensure every legitimate affiliate is treated fairly and given a chance to contest their ban. Also I would like to say, that I cannot respond to PMs until I hit 15 posts in this forum, so please do not PM and type directly to me here. |

Thank you for the reply Troy You have cleared that up fo me in one short post. Yet Most ebooks on ebay or products are sold on personal plr rights e.g cannot be given away so i beleive thats going to cause problems for some publishers if they block with the widget and content and use them for download materials. But thank you anyway for your reply. andrew |

CPA LeadTroy, can you clarify a bit more? I was about to apply to your network , so this whole thread caught my eye. When you say "fake content" does that mean NO content or inappropriate content like adult, or copyright violation content. Are popular movies considered fake content for instance? Thanks.. _____ Bruce |

Bruce, Thank you for your question. When I refer to fake content, it's in reference to promising an end-user one thing with the Widget, and giving the end-user something else or nothing at all after the end-user completes an offer. We also do not accept the monetization of adult content and we strongly recommend that you do not monetize movies or TV shows. If anyone is suspected of violating a copyright, they will be blacklisted by a majority of our higher performing offers however they will not be banned. The only time we will ban an affiliate for copyrighted material is if it comes to our attention from the copyright holder in the case where we receive a C&D. It is true that a lot of our users can monetize movie and TV shows with all of our offers, as long as they use content from sites like Hulu that we know encourage distribution of their content. I am sorry to hear that this thread caught your eye, especially considering the original intentions of why it was created. I will do my best to clear up the confusion that has maliciously been spread throughout this forum. |

I'm actually surprised it took CPALead this long to start mass banning accounts...I've run into more fake content pages than I can count, and it's only a matter of time before the offer owners start threatening to not pay or to pull their business all together because the lead quality is terrible. When does Ryans network open? |

We have been banning accounts as they are reported to us, but in order for us to review every single account in our network, we had to assemble a 10 person compliance team to review all 100,000 publishers. The full sweep should take until next week.

Your account was terminated due to inactivity and no earnings in the first 30 days. This is something we had to do to ensure all new applications are handled through our new review process. Anyone that cares about their account, would get their account reinstated if they talked to us. Otherwise, we banned these accounts so they cannot be sold later to a frauder. I have enabled your account. If anyone else wants to contest their banned account, please let me know. |

CPA Lead used to be a free for all like the wild wild west. Anything and everything was OK as long as the conversions came rolling in. Anybody could see this coming a long time ago... You can't let some of the material being promoted like movies and such forever - the heat will eventually come. The word on the street is a bunch of accounts got axed and if money was not paid out then that is really sad for the publishers. I can understand their position on tightening down their TOS because they had to be getting heat left and right for some of the websites/methods of promotion going on. I doubt they are in financial trouble though... With the volume of traffic CPA Lead generated over the past year they could probably buy a small island or two. ![]() It's good to have you in this thread Troy to explain what is going on with CPA Lead. I noticed this too on the beginning of this month when at least 80% of my referrals have been moved to declined status. I was skeptical when I saw one of my top referrals not even on the list anymore, but has had his account put on hold due to suspicion. His website is 100% legitimate, but has even caught eye from the CPAlead cleaning squadron. I've found the CEO of CPAlead, Robert, offering assistance to legitimate publishers who have wrongfully been banned, and gave the contact information to my referral. He has contacted Robert about his account, and Robert has sincerely apologized for the mistake in banning and applied $200 in credit for the 4 days my referral has been banned. My referral was only making about $20/day before that. This is good for my referral, but I didn't make commission off him for the 4 days. The CEO was very cooperative with my referral nonetheless. I've also noticed that the offers are starting to fill up quickly with high paying values. A few days after I've made a post about the change, CPAlead added the announcement on their dashboards page. I guess we all caught it early ![]() I have nothing against this other than the loss of most of my referrals, but I just think that if publishers were encouraged to reapply after inactivity termination, they should keep the same referrer. |

I originally opened an account with cpalead to use it on my arcade site, but then I tried using it for my female photo blog (it doesn't have any nudity in it). They said it was a little to close for comfort, so they banned me which is fine. I was just curious to know if I could use it for the cpalead adult network.

I'm surprised Ryan hasn't been banned. Flaming and trash talking is never helpful, respected by clean professional places like this or the members here. Go post your garbage with all the rest of it on some flame-blast ekidtantrum site like rip off report.... I'm surprised you haven't been met with a team of lawyers or worse. You know there were times you did something like that and they would lock you up in prison... I wish you all the best with all your networks and endeavors online... but please, drop the trash talk and keep thinking positive. |
