Default CPAlead cleaning house for new advertisers?

I saw this on CPAlead updates today, looks like they're finally doing the right thing.

Update (Aug 4th) - CPAlead is Taking HUGE Steps to Increase Your Earnings

At CPAlead, we know what you want, we hear it every day. You want higher performing offers, and you want them NOW! In order to provide you these higher performing offers, we have to take additional steps to ensure we're an advertiser-friendly network for ALL advertisers.

Currently, our compliance team is in the process of reviewing over 100,000 accounts on CPAlead to ensure all accounts are following our Terms of Service. If you have not been able to get a hold of your affiliate manager recently, this is what they have been busy doing. We expect this process to last until the middle of next week. Early payments will be disabled until then.

In order to work more directly to the source Advertisers, we have to ensure every single account on our network is clean of Fake Content, Spam and Adult Content.

If you know someone who has been banned recently, it is most likely due to breaking one of these three rules. The other reason they may have banned, could be due to having an inactive account for 30 days (no earnings or logins).

The publishers left over with clean content that follow our Terms of Service, will receive higher paying offers than ever imagined.

We understand that almost everyone deserves a second chance, so if your account was banned and you know what you did was wrong, please feel free to reapply. As long as you promote by these rules, you too will be able to reap the benefits of our new advertisers.

Sincerely,

The CPAlead Team

If you were able to cash out early, that means your account has been reviewed.

Sorry my statement might have been misunderstood. I said that because I was glad I did my payment request early because in the article or whatever when it said early payments won't be issued for a week or (since the managers are working hard to get things in perfect order.) Not because I was jumping ship for thinking things were getting bad. Y'all have always been good to me. Just wanted to clarify that.

The quality of offers on CPALead have been improving greatly recently I would assume this is tied to CPALead finally cleaning up their network. This was long overdue, but it'll probably be the best move you guys ever make.

I think so too. We have been under a lot of pressure by our advertisers to increase the size of our compliance team, we just never imagined that we would grow this fast so it took a while to build a team to handle this many publishers. This is why there is so much happening at once.

I understand that it is possible that mistakes can be made in the process. If anyone feels like they were wrongly banned, please PM me with your publisher ID and your first name. I will look into your account for you and provide further details about your ban.

If your ban is unjustified, I will give you a payout bump to help compensate for any problems we have caused you. I have not had many people take me up on this offer, but I am here at your convenience.

How many employees do you have on your compliance team to sort through the 100k publishers? Just curious since that is a lot of publisher's to sort through...

We have ten team members right now working on just compliance alone. Anyone that is banned from our network, is double checked by another compliance team member to ensure all bans are warranted.

The majority of bans have been due to being inactive for more than 30 days. In cases such as these, the publishers are paid in full if they have a balance.

If anyone wants to contest their ban with me, I am still available. Please PM me your publisher ID and I will personally look into it for you.

Andrew,

We only terminate accounts that have not been logged into for 30 days. If this even happens to you, you can just contact your affiliate manager and they will reactivate your account. We mainly canceled inactive accounts as a one-time deal to get rid of all the lingering accounts in our network, as they could be sold so frauders could get past our new approval process. Good question, thank you.

I will also log the problem with your helpdesk, i'm sure they can help me out. My biggest concern is that I would get banned for what may be seen as inactivity, when in fact it's a bit of newbie learning curve.

I hope in the futute you guys will expand on the tutorial vids section, cause so far they were helpful.

Sorry to bore you with this long email.
Thanks for the time.

Kerron,

Sorry for posting this publicly in the forum, but I cannot respond to PMs until I reach 50 posts. Thank you so much for your invaluable input. I will make sure we have a Wordpress Tutorial made for the future. You will not be banned as long as you log in once every 30 days. We are thinking about extending this length of time. I appreciate your help.

Sincerely,

Troy

Well I am sure CPATroy can contradict me, but most of these changes are due to changes in their business model, stricter adherance to their TOS. And I'll say for one it's about time, the whole model of Movie sites (contributory copyright infringement). Should have never been allowed, and due to recent government oversight if they continued allowing this type of content on their network, they could be held legally responsible as well as their advertisers.

A few years ago, this was a gray area and in many countries it still is. Simply put, the law hasn't caught up to the technology.

I had a cpa lead account - didn't have a whole lot up because I was working on building some sites focused on it (but delayed a little)... unfortunately I didn't know about the "not logging in for 30 days" thing and they cancelled my account about a week or so ago.

Eesh. I did have 2 campaigns running (just in ROS on my article system)... which I have disabled.

I have many other CPA accounts, but only 3 I wanted to focus on... 2 I still have, so I guess I'll have to stick with them for my sites.

I'm leaning back toward Amazon too.

Yeah I just logged into my account, just to check, since I had not used them for anything major since most of their sponsors were dead for a while. And this time it looks like they blew my account up "no email address found". I can see why you would want to possibly change who your dealing with, when a company doesn't provide any notice or warning and voluntarily takes it upon themselves to basically say (Yeah we don't want you anymore), it makes you wonder why you should do business with them.

Troy hopefully in the future you will provide a little more notice or heck send out an email to your clients that run your business. As for the fraud, yeah let see you automatically accept everyone without so much as a phone number validation (Maxmind costs what $0.20 a number)...

With all this said and the number of problems, it's probably a good time to mention some of the alternatives:

Chris,

Of course that would be fine. If you own the content and have the rights to distribute it, we would be more than happy to have you with our network.

I can reinstate your account on CPAlead since you were banned for the 30 day inactivity reason. If you had any earnings, you should have received payment.

Please IM me on AIM at cpaleadtroy if you're interested in reinstating your account. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but we this was a step we had to take to stop stale CPAlead accounts from being sold to frauders.

We do not delete any accounts, I am not sure why your email address is no longer being found. Could you please message me on AIM at cpaleadtroy so we can work this out? Thanks.

There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the TOS in respect of TV show sites.

Obviously, main TV sites love their content to be syndicated (along with adverts) and encourage such by providing embedding code. Sometimes the embedding code is from a third party (HULU or Megavideo for example) rather than the original broadcaster.

Can you explain what is and is not allowed?
