Default Penny Auction Sites - Do You Promote Them?

I am noticing more and more Penny Auction sites popping up and we have BidFire on Envyus now. If any of you guys have pushed or are currently pushing traffic to these types of sites would you mind sharing your experiences - good or bad?

These Penny Auction sites are popping up left and right and from talking to a few other people they are supposedly the "next best thing". CPA Payout on them is very decent for conversion point required.

I've personally seen these types of sites around on the interwebs for a while and a buddy of mine was building one last time I talked to him a few months ago. I am just basically interested in getting some input/feedback from publishers pushing these Penny Auction site offers. I have a feeling we are going to see more and more merchants popping these sites up and getting placement on networks.

I'll be honest and say we just got BidFire and don't have any traction yet. I have pubs interested but I don't like to lie and/or fabricate stories about "how good" an offer is. I'd like to hear some feedback from real people with real results - good or bad.

Once I tried to promote Bidz, but was not successful. However, I think that I couldn't make that works because it's very expensive to advertise anything in the jewelry niche.

Penny Auction sites are getting very popular and I'm sure that many affiliates will be interested in promoting them soon. So I think that you should invest on this type of offer asap, while the demand isn't too high.

I'm waiting for the day that they all get shut down and deemed illegal...

They are popping up left and right which means the opportunity is there to promote them with all the buzz they bring. I don't think they will be banned and deemed illegal as sites like swoopo have been running for years and years.

ChrisBa - That is what I wanted to hear!

2pacisreal - I have found Penny Auction offers pay more or less depending on requirements. We have BidFire right now and they require $10 deposit for the conversion to occur which streets at $16. I guess most Penny Auction bidders are going to drop at least 10 bucks in their account so I assume it would do well if you can get the correct traffic to it.

What kind of volume do you do now on it 2pacisreal? I think "free" traffic would work well on the Penny Auction offers.

Thanks for the insight guys... I appreciate the feedback!
