| I think I am starting to see the green shoots of the fruits of my labours on the CPA front. I have seen many posts in here from people who are making a very good income with CPA but one thing in common they all have is that it has taken them some time to get to that stage. I do believe you can’t become a success overnight and it takes a lot of work seeing what works and what doesn’t etc. I think u can learn a lot from a forum like this rather than buying some expensive product that tells you what u already know or you can pick up from a forum like this. I’ve used some and they aren’t that great and the people promoting them fail to realise that newbies don’t have $100s dollars to burn on ppv, ppc etc. I have been doing cpa marketing since Feb/march 2010 and I think it will take me a full year before I start to see anything worth talking about. For me getting into cpa networks is easy because my attitude is that I am helping them more than they are helping me. I tell the networks what they should be doing and when I apply I let them contact me and they do. You have to try and raise their eyebrows so to speak!!! The only thing that may hold me back is when im asked about traffic as I don’t get hoardes of it every day. I make a few dollars most days but that’s all it is. But I think I see where its heading as the conversions are from campaigns I set up a while ago and I have a lot that I promote. I believe as time goes by my daily earnings will grow. Well I hope so and if they don’t, no one can say I didn’t try. I use all sorts of methods – some effective others less so. My number one method is via video social networking. When I started my 1st cpa campaign it went crazy and I got an incredible number of hits and conversions for one product in a month. My video is still at the top of youtube since March and STILL converts to this day. Youtube are making it harder so I now use multiple accounts so if I get blasted, I just use another account. After that its probably article writing which is more long term but if you establish yourself as a specialist in a particular genre – it helps. I also use a lot of video on my sites to engage people so they aren’t just reading boring text like you are here!!! Any video I put on video networks I put on my sites too because the videos link through to cpa landing pages – whether my own or direct. Also make sure u promote offers that you think will last. CPA companies are always cancelling campaigns - ones for insurance, ral estate and finance etc are safe bets for longevity. If you aren’t using wordpress u r missing out big time and need to use it. It has so many plug-ins that will elevate your campaigns and increase visitors to your sites/landing pages. I converted all my html sites to wordpress. Anyway my point here on cpa is just to say to keep working and keep at it and don’t expect success overnight but of course if u get it all well and good. Try to understand the mindset of people who are likely to apply for offers and promote offers that you think people will actually complete. I do spend a lot of time every day working hard at what I do (I have a full time job) and sometimes I feel the amount of work I put in doesn’t justify what I get out of it. I just have to see it as a long term thing and hope I succeed. |

I agree that taking the time to learn as you go is the best way to keep going. It is important to persist and not give up as success may just be around the corner. Good luck! Keep us posted!

You are absolutely correct. I think the frustrating thing for a lot of people is hearing the stories (many are true) of newbies who hit big right away or 14 year olds that are doing easy 6 figures. This does happen, but its the exception. Most of the time it takes time, perseverence, a little bit of digging your heels in and grinding your teeth, to see success. Go in with a long term vision. I personally started an LLC before I even knew what CPA stood for (maybe a bit of exageration) my point is that you need to be in it for the long haul. You see so many people funnel in and out of CPA in a 2 week period, and its unfortunate because there is a lot of opportunity out there if you can dig in long enough to exploit it. Great post, love the attitude, and good luck CPAing. Best of luck! |

It seems that you really are in the right path. ![]() It took me 2 years to make my first buck online, so I completely agree when you say that it takes time. Anyone trying to build an online business needs to understand that things don't happen overnight. It's just like building an offline business. Would you expect to open a store and then compete with Walmart in the other day? Of course not. I do believe that it's possible to make money quickly, in just a few weeks, but it requires an investment. The problems is... often times people are trying to make money online because they are broke! So how can they make an investment on their business?! In this case, the longer route is the way to go. Your efforts will pay off, you just need to persist and keep doing what you are doing. ![]() William |

I agree with William, most people get into internet marketing because they are broke. I was/am anyway! ![]() I have dabbled in MLM and other schemes, which all had one thing in common. Passive income. I think Internet Marketing is awesome because if you focus in the right areas, the money keeps coming in. I am staying away from twitter/facebook etc, because I don't just want another job. Once you do the work once, you want the money to keep rolling in. Ken is right, the long term vision is the way to go! Good Luck Guys Dave mee |

I am beginning to see a very small portion of my articles hitting the 1st page of google and a few on the 2nd/3rd page without any backlinks. This to me is a great sign as I know that 50-100 high quality backlinks will really boost my ranking and give my articles more exposure. The great thing about it is that they are permanent and all my efforts begin to compound. | |

Guys I agree but please be aware that MOST people ... and that is 99% of all Internet Marketers do NOT make a full-time living working from home. Very few people actually make a lot of money with IM, but a LOT of people love to give advice and sell their "ebooks" on how to get rich. It's always been like that (even before the internet) so if you are new, you will ALWAYS have an uphill battle. How many make 5 figures a month on this board (besides myself)? C'mon, hands up! Not a lot ... and one the main problems I constantly see here is that there is a lot of "rehashed" advice being hiven which isn't bad, but when it really comes down to it on disclosing onces secret, theres a big secrecy. I don't like that. I'm always up for helping and not afraid to actually tell people what it is I make my money with ... I believe in making the pie BIGGER for everyone instead of fighting for crumbs individually. Anyway, just my 2 cents here. Nick |
