DEMOGRAPHIC TARGETTING

In POF and Cell Phone targetting, you can drill
down with many types of catagories.

Race, age, town, gender and many others.

My question is, can I find the same DETAILED
demographics available for internet marketing?

Say I wanted a web site to target "Home
Repairs in Tucson Arizona ONLY".

Is this possible?

Yes it is, and if your asking about google, try simpley getting the name arizona home repairs, or something like that. Google does all the work for you in google anyalytics. If you haven't signed up for account do so!

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean, but I think that you want to know if you can target your traffic with other traffic sources as much as you do with PoF.

In this case, it depends on the traffic source. The example that you gave uses only geo target, so it's possible with most ad platforms. However, if you want to target people by marital status, income, etc it can be a bit harder.

PoF is great when it comes to demographics and, in my opinion, this is one of the reasons why I consider it one of the easiest traffic sources.

How are you going to get demographics from Google Analytics before you build a site/page?

The above is my first post. Let me try again. Can I set-up a web site that will only be seen (targetted) to the Tucson AZ area only ?

This would be for a local company.

I should have qualified that statement more I already have quite a few webpages so that is party of how I get it.

But to answer your question the best way to do it if you have nothing is to start out by looking at keyword comptetors that are #1 and run there site on quantcast. For example let say your wanting to sell a dog training product. You type dog training into google grab the top site address and put it into quant cast your going to see unmaried 30 year old women proffesionals are crazy about dog training. By demographic.

You can't keep it from being seen geographically in the SERPS, if that's what you mean. Obviously someone somewhere else could type in your keywords and it could possibly be seen, unlike specific targeting used in PPC. Can you target Tucson, AZ on Plenty of Fish? I believe you can target any State/City combo that you're looking for on most any ad platform.
