Basically, I did everything right and checked it over like five times (new database, on its own domain, etc.). It installed fine. I created a user name and a password.

Then when I tried to log in, I received a response that said "invalid user name/password combination." I tried to retrieve my password. Then I got the "invalid user name/email combination" response.

Not sure why this is happening. Should be a relatively simple process, right? Anybody else have problems with this?

Hi man,

I just had my prosper installed on my server. If I were you, I would repeat the whole process again. Uninstall your prosper202, and the re-install it again. And hopefully, for the second time, you got it right. Let me know if you need any help.

Same problem, man. I deleted the files from everything (including my computer) and re-downloaded the whole thing. It says that it was already installed and just brings me back to the same page (where my user name and password don't work).

Propser202 will not work with Hostgator do to their ''MYAQL'' up dates. I had to cancel my hostgator today and went with bluehost because of this issue.

Intalling P202 on a Hostagotr account can be really tough. For those who still haven't bought their hosting accounts and intend to use P202 I recommend BlueHost.

I'm using hostgator. Yes, at first there was some kind of a problem cos prosper202 cant work with shared database or something. But, there's this script. I just got it from fellow warrior. Just shoot me a pm, I'll send the script to you.

I wrestled with this forever one night ... and Tried a whole bunch of random stuff, I ended up just throwing it on a bluehost server instead .. I recommend you just grab a different shared server

As Edward has said, I sent him a script that is a mod of Version 1.5.1 and both he and I run Prosper on Hostgator with no problems. Shoot him or me a PM and we'll fix you up with the script (you can PM me on Skype if you don't have enough posts).

Also, if you are having trouble with the username/password of the database, remember that Hostgator uses a Prefix_Suffix for the DB name. The prefix is the original username of your Hostgator account, the suffix is the name of your new database. So, HGUsername_DBname

The same goes with the DB username, the prefix is again your Hostgator username, the suffix is your DB username: HGUsername_DBUsername.

Prosper202 has problems on hostgator and Wes knows about. Try another hosting company like Sharkspace.com

Did that man. I've been wrestling with this for about 2 days now. I work with a couple of guys that had absolutely no problem installing Prosper on their server. So I don't understand the problem.

What's your Skype name? I did the Prefix_Suffix thing too. No luck still.

Also, I love how I tried to call Tracking202 (I used to use on the online portion and had some problems with that in the past) and their phones are all disconnected. Fantastic.

I've never used it so can't give an opinion. Looks like it's free for around 5000 clicks per month, then goes to a monthly billing for more clicks. If you want self hosted, it's $200 per month - OUCH!

Yeah. Wow! I've been playing around with Bevo for the past couple of hours. It seems pretty awesome. I would probably even consider getting the Premium package if I made enough money. Maybe in a few months

This is way better than Tracking202 and PPC Coach Tracker.

Only problem I see is that it doesn't offer tracking for all affiliate networks. While it does offer the tracking for many of the big ones, at least two notable networks are not on there: Peerfly (which I use very often) and Azoogle.

Thanks for the suggestion guys! So far, I'm liking this better than Prosper.

Also, what are API calls right away? Judging my the last post, I'm guessing they have something to do with the amount of networks a marketer is using.

I followed the directions in the hostgator link support portal for prosper help/

I deleted the original functions-install.php file and uploaded the one provided by hostgator.

What do I do next?
