If you... split test a page while PPC affiliates are sending traffic to your offer? Because there will be redirects involved. |

I'm not sure if I understand your question. Do you want to know if it's ok to split-test landing pages on Google using a rotator? If so, yes, it will probably be ok if all your LPs are compliant with their terms. William |

Didn't think it'd be a problem... just want to make sure since I know they're funny about redirects and other stupid things. | |

I may be wrong here / if so sorry / misunderstand. But you want to know if its OK to swap around a page you are testing, but you have affiliates using ppc to send to this page yes ? to answer i suppose the swap in itself is fine but it would fall over a the ppc end because of this. As the affiliate the must hard code in the destination url and the resulting display url, now if that exact destination url does not change then / if somehow your only changing the content on that page then it would work , but if your swapping in out / somehow those pages then the destination url will be different. ? Now it gets tricky because i am now thinking that first destination url is where you will throw a redirect to the second testing page ? OK on the surface and in theory that would be OK so long as your display url did not change / was not affected. so lets say the destination url was www. thisismymainsite .com / thisismytestpageone.html and your main display url was www. thisismymainsite .com then it would be OK then to swap out / redirect to this destination url www. thisismymainsite .com / thisismytestpagetwo.html as your display url would remain static. however if you affect that display url in anyway it would cause serious problems for the adwords guys as their account would then be in violation of terms, for example if your display url was www. thisismymainsite .com and as a result of a redirect it changes the land / display to www. thisismynewtestsite .com then yes all sorts of problems at adwords end of the deal |

Jason.... Google encourages split testing, just make sure each version is within their TOS and is compliant and you should be fine. But only Big G knows what Big G knows..... but from my experience you're fine if its a legit product/service you're promoting (hmm, unless in the money making niche, no "unrealistic claims" allowed) |
