I found that compete.com is a bit pricey, I use wordtracker and Google Keyword tool most of the time, in combination with Keyword Elite.

No worries, some are keyword specific ie, suitable for creating keyword lists, Market Samurai for example, others are just damm handy ways to generate keywords out of the box.

I have used a tool called KeyWord Analyzer which is quite comprehensive. It has a Brainstorming function that tells you what people are searching for online.

and see that's what i need. i need a tool to generate keywords, then another one to take that kw list, and uncover other possibilities and long tails etc....
i'll give these a shot and see how it goes. eventually i'm going to have to spend and it's looking like keyword elite is in the top running. i've been hearing good things about market samurai as well.

Hi brendan.

Before you purchase anything, my advice is to have a quick read of my blog post about keyword research tools. This is a revelation.

Hey Jon,

Just bought your book, but haven't read it yet.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that PayPal has shut down accounts
for not offering a way to bypass having to optin to get to the product
download.

I asked Michael Brown (a very active Warrior here) about this yesterday and he confirmed that it's true.

There was a thread about it somewhere on the Warrior Forum, but I can't find it right now.

OK. Just went throught the book quickly once.

This is great stuff Jon. So well thought out, organized
and clearly explained.

I've played around with some of the ideas in the past
but nowhere near even close to the level you've taken them
in this report.

Hi Markquinn.

At the very bottom of my squeeze page, there's a way to go directly to the download link.

Thank you for the compliment. I'll put that testimonies in my WSO page.

Keep in touch.

google keyword tool is one of the best imo.. (yes, it's free, but it's still one of the best)

I agree with chrisba that there is no any other tool better than Google keyword tool. So, Google's tool is my favorite.

Yes, I agree. I wouldn't use another one for PPC. However, there are some tools that can make things a lot easier for people doing SEO, like Keyword Elite that analyzes the competition and says how difficult it is to rank for a certain term (I'm not saying that it is 100% accurate, but it certainly helps).

So far, I don't have 1 single student who has tested 5 or more campaigns without finding at least 1 winner. And I intend to keep this success rate.

Longtail Pro and Brad Callen's Niche Research software is pretty good in locating those Long tail keywords.

MicroNicheFinder by far and Market Samurai (I use both)

MNF to quickly sort and sift (mine for gold nuggets)

Then MS to analyze the daylights out of your competition and determine exactly the MINIMUM you need to do to beat them. Why do moer work than you have to?

Google Keywords Suggestion Tool

Found it most useful as it tells you how many people actually searches the term and you can't argue with Google's data.
