I dont think there's anything wrong with setting ambitious goals! As long as you realize the journey will be one requiring much work, dedication, sacrifice, and persistence then setting high goals is okay. I do think there should be some milestones and smaller goals up to that point but it certainly is within the realm of achievability, so why not go for it! Chris brings up a great point though...set and work towards a high goal but dont become frustrated or upset if you arent seeing results quick enough. A lot of people go months without seeing a dime and then figure it out and hit big a year down the road. As long as you are maintaining forward momentum and working your tail off, you will be fine! my opinion of course ~ken | |

| selfimprovementedge, my 2 cents ... it's really quite commendable that you have a clear goal, the confidence to seek advice from the right people, and i'm sure the will to take action every day ... and i have a feeling you will get there ... but i believe there always other forces (some ppl call it luck) that can determine the end result ... so no matter what actually happens and whether you reach stanford or not ... just don't lose this passion ... cultivate it for your next goal ... coz luck only favors the brave ... all the best |

...and remember, to be lucky in the game, you've got to be playing in the game. Keep taking action and moving with forward momentum and luck will inevitably follow. Hard and smart workers normally get more "lucky" |

So it's been a long time that i didn't post here. So, first of all my article marketing work is doing great 2 or 3 articles were accepted in ezine article (one was not accepted) I'm waiting for the validation of other article directories, the things are also doing great with my blog. Write now I'm learning basics of copywriting. A problem occurs in the middle way, it was impossible to send money to neteller from morocco or to get a paypal verified account. So right now I'm having a free autoresponder of 500 possible subscribers with 3000 email per month. The only way that I found to deal with the problem is to get another account of 500 subscribers. I will focus on building a really powerful relation with those subscribers. As you say it's better to get 1000 loyal subscribers than 10 000. Wait for the time were it will be possible to do an international payment or make some money from my list to be able to open an international bank account. What do you think about the idea of two accounts of 500 subscribers ? thank you SelfImprovementEdge |

I mean its a way to bootstrap, but my guess is that if you do enough research, there are probably ways to sidestep the paypal issue. I would do some research into it if I were you. You want to hit 250,000 which is a lot of money, so as much as I am a huge fan of bootstrapping, if possible, make sure to do things the right way. I would hate to see you make significant progress and that have something like an unreliable autoresponder or payment processor stand in the way of monetizing that progress. ~ken |
