We all know there are plenty of big CPA earners raking in some serious dough every day. Lets play the 'pretend' or 'hypothetical' game for a moment. Lets pretend you get the opportunity to speak with one of these guys/girls for a 10 minute phone consultation. What question/questions would you ask him/her? Let's assume they will not reveal any specifics about any campaign they have ever created. (So dont ask what keyword to bid for or to see an example of their highest converting landing page) |

In the 10 minutes I'd persuade him to meet me at the bar, where I'll get hours to ask all the questions I want! Hahah, just kidding. I'd ask him about ONE thing and one thing only: What are your favorite traffic sources? |

What.....? After becoming a millionaire he or she won't even want to reveal 1 keyword and Landing page for the sake of teaching so that others basically have an idea on how to be like him or her , then I say this CPA millionaire is crap and the riches he possess won't last long as eventually what he fears will come and haunt him back. But deep inside I believe a real millionaire will at least show people 1 of his campaign and how he did it as I believe he can afford to as he should have many other campaigns to keep to himself. Anyway those that have become millionaires-they just know how the law of the universe works so it doesn't make much sense if they are not giving it back. |

10 minute phone call? There's no value to this - what is he or she going to say? Give you motivation messages? Just send me an email of the list of traffic sources, niche market/offer, PPC campaigns, swipe files, landing pages, etc. That's all that matters. |

1. Best way to start with limited money? 2. Traffic sources? (Paid and Free) 3. Best offers (zip, email, survey etc) without being specific. 4. How to keep track of the offers because they must be spending alot on ppc, banners etc with various offers. How do you watch them all and weed out the non profitable ones. The concern would be having so many campaigns going what was profitable yesterday may not be profitable today and you could lose alot is a short amount of time. 5. CAN I HAVE ONE OF YOUR PROFITABLE CAMPAIGNS |

First, this is just a hypothetical question and exercise. The point of the exercise is to look at everything you are doing (no matter what stage you're at) and try to pinpoint what questions are the critical constraints holding you back. I intended it to help readers reflect on what they are doing and what pieces of the "puzzle" they feel they may be missing. Hopefully if you uncover what your biggest and most important question is...you can start focusing your efforts on finding the answer to the question! But assuming this is a real scenario, I dont personally see why this millionaire is obligated to give any of his campaign details away. Perhaps an old campaign, sure, but certainly not anything live. I am a huge, and let me stress HUGE, believer in charity, philanthropy, and giving forward and I make this part of every venture I pursue. With that said, there is this notion in society that its such a bad thing for wealthy people to become wealthier. In mind mind, if the person is providing something of equal or greater value to the selling price they are offering, that is perfectly moral and ethical. If Warren Buffet wants to sell his Lincoln Towncar for its value of $500, why is that so wrong? Sure he has billions and this extra $500 wont even remotely come close to affecting his life in any way shape or form, but why is it wrong that he expects to receive the value of his car when he decides (if ever) to sell it? Looking at this particular scenario, I see the millionaire as being incredibly generous to give up 10 minutes of his time to help each person he/she decides to give a FREE phone consultation to, I dont see him/her as being selfish because he wont reveal campaign details. But of course this is just my personal opinion and I will reiterate that I am a huge believer in charity and philanthropy. But back to CPA...very thoughtful answers thus far. It seems the majority of people want to know what traffic sources this made up millionare is exploiting! ~ken

1 approach could be to try and see his mindset. When he sees a new offer, what is the first thing that comes to his mind? What opportunities does he look for ? What is his perspective on cpa in general ? etc -- Just pick his brain and try to get a good feel for how he views marketing and life in general. Just try to see the world and marketing the same way that he sees it. If you can get inside his mind enough to start "thinking like him" then you won't need any of his specific campaign information as you will be able create infinite numbers of your own. For me personally, I think this information and approach is far more valuable the campaign specific information, as eventually the campaigns he reveals will expire and then you'll be back to square one again. |

Honestly... I don't know what I'd ask because I already know everything I need to. If they'd be prepared to share their campaigns I might get some info but aside from that I don't think any theoretical knowledge could be useful to me.

Since I'm still trying to figure out what REALLY works for me, I think I'd ask him how I could start making $200/day in profit consistently. I know thats what some of you guys make in an hour (or less), but to me it seems like once I started making consistent money like that, I'd be able to reinvest and start going for the gold. |

| Krazy Kenster War Room Member | Well I mean the most common questions so far is about what traffic sources the mystery millionare is using. To me, the WHAT is not the question, the HOW is the question. Let me explain... Perhaps this person says PPC, or PPV, or Media, or SEO, or heck perhaps they are using video/article marketing strategy. Now what would this mean for you? Absolutely nothing to me. I know there are people banking it with each of these traffic sources already, so knowing what their traffic source is doesnt seem terribly relevant. The HOW THEY ARE USING IT seems like the more critical question. For PPC, perhaps they are building full content celebrity type websites with their full blown CPA strategy on these celebrity sites. If they say they are using PPC, that means nothing to you, but now that you know they are building full blown sites with a multilayered CPA strategy on these sites...thats much more relevant to me. What I would ultimately try and dig for is their sales funnel. Remember, they can reveal their sales funnel, without revealing their campaign. In the celebrity site example, lets pretend they dont even tell us the traffic source they are using but I can get the following information out of them... -they deal in the celebrity niche, building celeb site/fan page -the main site has lightbox pop-out opt in form + opt in form in top right of page + banner space and possibly an adsense straetgy as well -Main monetization comes from targeting message on the backend of the squeeze...through email that is very targeted to celebrity -Email sequence is....Welcome, Some Info of Value + hint of next emails promo, Targeted CPA Offer Promo, Celeb Info, Celeb Info, Targeted CPA Offer Promo This type of info is much more valuable. Now I know the niche and the main monetization funnel. Now I do the obvious SEO strategy since it can only help. Then I can test PPC, PPV, whatever else to see what does well. I have been quite verbose here and I'm too lazy to go back and make this post less wordy, but my strategy boils down to finding the sales funnel and the niche. I couldnt give two hoots if he/she just told me the traffic source. ~ken |

As many of these questions as he could answer in 10 minutes: 1 - Why did you choose CPA marketing? 2 - How did you select your first/best/most profitable niche/campaign? 3 - What is the fastest route to profitability using CPA? 4 - Can I work as your apprentice so I can lean the business from you? 5 - If you were starting over today, what would you do differently? |

Alternatively I may ask the following.... -Tell them what my strengths and weaknesses are -Tell them what my goal is -Ask them for as many "significant" points in a strategy to get me to my goal In this approach, I dont give a flying hoot what they do or how they got to where they are at, I am relying on the fact that they probably know the industry well and can steer me in a good direction based on my strengths and weaknesses. We all know there are a million ways to make a buck online, not all of which are "right" for everybody |

I think the best thing to ask would be...for how long did he stayed on the IM game before becoming a millionaire, what books did he read on the subject, what niche is his favorite, what`s his favourite traffic source. We would have to talk pretty fast, but I think we could make it in a 10 min frame.

How do you analyze a offer, traffic source and campaign. Would be the most important things I'd think. I'm someone you'd be talking to in this category and I'm sure I go about things very differently then noobs would. We often just throw money at something to see if it will work with a large test budget there for losing. We test a lot of stuff and know how to optimize campaigns that's the key if you ask me. 1. Analyze offer and traffic source for demo's 2. work metrics you have to hit to be profitable with some educated guesses - ad ctr - presell ctr - offer conversion rate - value of email data if capturing 3. Invest part of your dedicated test budget. 4. Analyze and tweak. 5. Invest more.... If it works scale it, if it doesn't scrap it and take away some knowledge. Rinse repeat. We do this multiple times a week, constantly testing new stuff with dedicated budgets. It's a business invest, learn, grow. |

My first thought is not to ask what he does to make his money. I've got a ton of WSOs that claim to have already given me that information. But those systems aren't always for me for several reasons. SO... I'd make it 10 minutes all about: 1) My goal/need - to earn $30,000.00 by June 2011 or I have to move and my kids will be VERY upset (and so will I). 2) My situation I need to work around - i currently work full-time 9-5, M-F - though I can do a bit of work on my own stuff during that time. Also, I have two kids so my evenings are busy until they go to bed at 9pm. 3) My initial plan - to use a viral Facebook script that gets people to "Like" and "Share" something like my "OMG you'll never believe what this bus driver did!!" They know they need to Like and Share to see the amazing video I'm promising; but then the amazing video is Blocked with a CPAlead widget. I'll promote these by buying a few hundred initial "likes". 4) I'll make LOTS of these and since they are quick to produce I can create them after the kids are asleep even if I'm tired. Does he think it will work? How should I change it or add to it? And now that I've typed that out I think I should start a thread to ask those questions lol!! |

Thats a good model there! Metrics are an absolutely gigantic part of this game for particular traffic sources. What metrics and what thresholds this particular millionaire looks at is another great question to be asking. How about this one....what if you just said..."I dont want to know where your traffic is coming from, what landing page you are using, I just want to know an exact offer that is converting like crazy right now and where I can find the offer (which network hosts it)". Then once he/she tells you, then you can say "btw, feel free to give me any hints as to traffic or landing page structure "He/she may give in and tell you enough to do something huge. If you know an offer is converting, then you can jsut speak with your AM to get a general idea on traffic that is working for it, then do some spying to check out the competitions landing pages and if you work hard you can pretty much guarantee you will make something out of the offer if its that good. ~Ken

For a second I thought I was gonna get a 10 minute call ya... On a side note I had a dream that a little green alien was going to set up a winning adwords campaign for me, woke up and check to see if there was any changes on my account. Kinda sad when there wasn't. He did want to charge $174 though.. I must not have paid him. <<< Oh there he is!

In all honesty, the truth is this... Someone that is making MILLIONS of PROFIT with CPA could come here, in this thread, and lay out: What offer they are promoting Show their landing page Tell you where their traffic is coming from Give you their demos List their keywords And leave pretty much completely confident that they would have ZERO competition because they way they are doing it carries a certain amount of RISK in the forum of BIG CHUNKS OF MONEY that MOST people here (from my experience) are not willing to gamble. If some of the people PROFITING MILLIONS decided to drop in and drop some figures as far as what kind of money they see going out daily/weekly/monthly on traffic...I'm willing to bet that the ****ting of the pants wold commence almost immediately. |

The biggest reason youre not at the millionaire level is fear of losing money. And investing a few thousand isnt going to help you either. I have lost $10K plus a day for weeks at a time, its painful but once it turns around its glorious.

You can *easily* get to $X,XXX and low/mod $XX.XXX days without too much risk as long as you are dedicated, and actually work your ass off, but to get to the $XXX,XXX days/weeks/months you have to give yourself a gut check and have a serious threshold for risk. At times I've seen people buy into courses and things like that about PAID TRAFFIC, and then COMPLAIN because the traffic source requires a couple hundred dollar deposit, and they don't have it or don't want to risk it. Guess what? You're in the wrong line of business to think like that...Go back to clickbank, and start pushing some get back with your ex stuff.
