Be sure to go with somebody who has credibility. Everybody here has heard the horror stories of coaching scams.

Also make sure you are prepared to do most of the work to get to success. Unless you are paying many thousands, coaches will only guide you in the right direction, not put together million dollar campaigns with you.

They guide and you work your butt off...thats how a good coaching partnership works. There are good programs out there though that help people succeed.

I'd stay away from PPCCoach.com if I was you.. It's $50 a month and ALOT of the info is out dated big time. Most of the stuff on there I already knew anyway. The forums are GREAT tho!

ChadH's "Conversion University" -- You'll never need a coach or mentor after listening to this 10 hours.. believe me ( look him up on WarriorForum )

Affili-It -- Chris and Clint both tell it straight when it comes to traffic sources and techniques to use. Plus, you'll get REAL affiliate marketers training you and not just b.s. gurus or phonies claiming they're successful ( these guys really are! )

I realize that you may not want to dish out the money for a coaching program and while there is a lot of free information out there, a coaching program will help you greatly if you get the right one.
Personally, I have found it to be of great use.

PPC Coach and PPV Playbook are two great communities, with great leaders. Affiliit.com is also anther top notch coaching community you should check out.

Internet Marketing University is also run by two friends of mine that REALLY know their ****. Top notch marketers that made HUGE money before even coaching.

because they cover all the bases.

Coaches have their place. I never had a formal coach per se, but they are certainly beneficial. A lot of time can be saved by having a coach there to help you weed through the jungle of information. And remember, time is money so even if the coach isnt cheap, it can still be a phenomenal investment.

If a guy making even $100 a day is there to guide you to the same fate in a month, isn't it worth $1,000 or more?

The tough thing about coaching is that many times the expectations of the student and coach and not aligned. The coach is there to guide the student and sometimes the students want the coach to just give them campaigns that make them money without pursuing anything on their own.

If expectations are in sync, then coaching is a good gig if you can find a good coach.

There's always a price that makes sense for anybody at any level.

I have never personally coached anybody (except helping a few friends non-paid) and have no intention to coach, but if there was a big enough check in my face I would consider it for sure. Heck, for a big enough check I would strip naked and run around Times Square until I get arrested

But back to coaching, there is nothing wrong with somebody who makes $100 a day coaching somebody starting out. Coaches dont need to be guys doing huge numbers and in many cases as you point out, it doesnt make sense at that level.

PPV Playbook is my personal favorite all-round place to be and covers Social Media, PPC and even SEO (as well as PPV of course!). I definitely wouldn't be as successful as I currently am without that place.

Kenster's right. You don't need a multi-million dollar affiliate coaching you, nor will you ever get someone like thats help.

Try to find guys making $100 or more per day, and try to get them on AIM or Skype. A lot of people you wouldn't expect might be willing to chat and give you some pointers. Just try not to B.S. too much and waste both of your time.

AIM can become a HUGE time waster..

People just above the level you are at are surprisingly helpful if you approach it the right way. If you aren't making anything, approach somebody making $20 a day. If you are making $100 a day then approach somebody doing $200.

Also, dont try and present it like a charity case. When you approach somebody just ask them if you can bounce ideas off each other. This way is a two way relationship...at least its perceived to be.

If somebody does decide to help you out a bit, then be sure to try and help them as well. If you come across a good tool or idea that may beenfit them, make sure to let them know.

Hey i am quite new myself, but in all frankness just try to hook up with Kenster .He already responded to your posts and i believ he responds to everyone that comes in here.He speaks what he knows not trying to sell u any crappy methods and he has keen interest in helping anybody,newbies and "oldbies" ....LOL..But seriously check on any post and he is there with some advice.Thats someone you can trust.
Ill recommend others too as i start following their posts and ill keep u informed.
