Hi, I got accepted to a cool affiliate network this week and was hooked up with an affiliate manager who's been working closely with me. I'm new to the CPA game, but I've been through several courses and learned a lot. So far, no matter how tightly I've matched the demographics of the offer with those of the sites I've advertised on, I haven't had any conversions (this was all done before getting into this latest network this week). I've tried both direct linking and using landing pages. I've done this in various niches but decided recently I'd focus on biz opp offers. The traffic sources I've tested so far include AdBrite (site specific and run of network), AdsDaq, AdEngage, and Yahoo. Have these sources worked for anyone? I'm also definitely interested in PPV and will be signing up with some networks shortly. What traffic sources have worked well for biz opp offers for you? |

Facebook used to work real well for bizops - but they're tightened down on them now. I've had a lot of success promoting bizops on CPV. Build lists and a relationship and you'll do very well on CPV in the bizop niche.

It's hard to say without knowing what your ads look like, if they suck then that's your problem. Are you getting the attention of your target market with a compelling ad promising a benefit and sparking a little curiosity? Or are they blinded to your ads because... they look like ads. It throws up a flag thar direct links aren't converting either. The offer may not convert well. That's why it's best to select at least 3 offers to rotate, skim off the dead skin, rinse and repeat. |

As for actual traffic sources, bizz opp can be turned profitable with any sources of traffic. As mentioned above, sometimes its tricky to get the ads accepted by some traffic mediums, but in terms of conversions, its a pretty wide audience that can convert...which is why there is so much money in the niche! So the trick becomes becoming good at whatever traffic you pursue, not necessarily finding out which one to pursue! ~ken |

What kind of biz-op offer are you looking to run? Free Trial? Large cost to the consumer? Lead-based? What is your CTR if you don't mind sharing? Also curious to see the type of landing page you used to promote... To answer your question in terms of sources of traffic...Pulse 360 -> MSNBC.com placements are filled with biz-op offers...They have been on there for months and months, the ones i see and know do well use the typical article lander, with a high paying, relatively high cost to consumer type of offer...the consistentcy of these placements leads me to believe there is a ton of money to be made with this placement...the ad's i see are usually geo-targeted, hitting females..."Long Island Mom makes $67 / hour working from home..." something along those lines... Best of Luck |

Besides Pulse 360, I have also done well promoting bizopp on Zedo and Google content network. ![]() William | |

KC-Coop: I definitely want to build a list in this niche and I'm working on that as we speak. Vincenzo Oliva: It's hard to tell if my ads suck...they certainly might I use benefits to the max in my ads. As far as the offer goes, it's all over late-night tv so I thought I'd give direct linking a try. You're right - there's a big red flag there with no conversions. Very strange.Ken: That's good advice. I should probably stop trying anything and everything and just pick one to get good at. Thanks! COPEAC Stephen: I signed up with Pulse 360 but haven't used them yet. I'll get in there and check it out. I'll PM you my lander and other details. Williamrs: I've tried Zedo before as well but not with this offer. Maybe it's worth a shot. ChadH: Job sites...now that's something I didn't think about! Thanks so much to everyone who responded. I really appreciate your advice and will put it to good use. |

UPDATE: Stephen, it seems like this forum won't let me send PMs until I make some more posts! So I'll just lay it all out here: The offer I was running was a program by a guy named Anthony Morrison. His infomercials are on late - night tv all the time, so I decided to try direct linking. I didn't get any conversions, so I built a landing page. That page is here: (WOW, these guys are strict. I can't even post the link to my page!) I'll try this again a little differently. stackmorecash.com/advertisingprofits I used text links on AdBrite to promote it. The CTRs were extremely low, less than 1%. I know I gave out a lot of my details here and you're not supposed to do that, but oh well! I want to see what people have to say about it. I'm not running that particular offer anymore anyway. If you have any advice on the info above, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time. Kevin Love |

Hey K.Love Took a look at the lander....the copy is great, just some feedback for you based on what i have seen out there and what i has worked well... 1) More color....right now with the white background, the light gray font...that's alot of copy to read...the copy is good don't get me wrong but taking into account the attention span of your typical online user, it's going to be tough to convert them if you're feeding them loads of copy right from the get go.... 2) More Effective / "Catchier" (is that even a word) / Shorter Headline...this should steal the show and engage the reader to begin reading the copy...i know the offer you're talking about and i know Mr. Morrison actually...i would ask the network if you can use the earnings mentioned in the testimonials on the right hand side in your copy...it's already on your landing page...you have this already "Within the first month, I made $300. I know that doesn't sound like much, but the next month I doubled that at $600. The next month I pulled in, $900, and by the third month, $1,200. The fourth month I matched my income from my old job by making $2,000 with the methods I'd just learned! I was shocked. Six months after I bought the package, I was raking in $5,000 per month online and could forget about my money worries. And it has kept growing and growing ever since then." i would take that and do some magic and turn that into the headline...i think an actual $$ amount of what someone can make with this product will engage more consumers and they will feel inclined to scroll down... 3) you do this towards the very bottom but i would break up the blog...bullet points, images, graphs of how your earnings have increased every month, an image of a check that you received from using this program....goes back to the need for visual stimulation.... Feel free to email me and i will gladly toss more feedback and some suggestions if you'd like... Stephen@Intermarkmedia.com All the best K. Love |

Hey Klove, Your lander isn't bad but it could be better. The flog style lander and news site style lander are the ones working best right now for biz op on media buys IMHO...go check out tmz.com and look at the biz op ads there...these guys are throwing down thousands of dollars per day on ad buying so you know those style landers are converting good for them. Anthony Morrison has got some pretty bad reviews when you Google his name and the costs to consumer is 20 bucks I believe? I would look for something with a lower cost to the consumer up front or try to capture their name and email address and then run them through multiple back end biz op offers on the autoresponder Quote:

I have seen those fake news site style websites and was wondering if they are legal or not?

Stephen, I'll email you before the day is done. That was some great feedback and it was really cool of you to look at my page. John: Yes, the offer costs $20 to the consumer. I've seen all the bad reviews on Google too. It was the fact that his infomercials are on tv all the time that made me want to promote the offer. It's probably time to try something else. |

I think that maybe you can try a "news style" landing page. It works well for me with several bizopp offers. Another good idea is presell page where you tell your story (not really yours, of course ) and explain how you made $x,xxx.xx with that course in xx days. Talk about your financial problems and how that course saved your life... William

William, That's kind of the idea I was going for with that page. But like you said, I could probably do better with it if I got more specific. Thanks! |

Williams is totally right *thumbs up* - newslanders work. I'm pushing an offer that's paying $70/sale with a Newslander + media buys.
