Default Comm. Junction & Facebook - getting started question

Hi,

I signed up with Commission Junction and am going to use Facebook to do some social media affiliate marketing.

So I've picked a couple offers and now I need my affiliate link URL to create the ad in facebook. The problem is, the only links CJ is providing are Javascript and HTML.

Anyone know how to get the affiliate link URL's? Or am I going about/understanding this wrong?

Thanks!

Well I've been looking and looking, and have come to the conclusion that you can't use Commission Junction to direct link offers on Facebook.

So if using Facebook ad's they'd have to point to your own site that has the CJ offers, banners, etc..

Let me know if this is wrong....thanks!

Try to find the link in your javascript, then send it to a friend for a try. If its convert, then you are done.

Yeah, that's what I figured...question though - what if you're just promoting one common item from a merchant - for example 20% off sneakers somewhere.
Would you really want to make a typical landing page with info and a pre-sell pitch for that?

Thanks..

Ah...ok so my affiliate URL is in the javascript? So I should be able to copy and paste it into a browser to test?

I would go with another affiliate company Commission Junction isnt really the best for starting out and you have to get approved for almost any decent offer, try ads 4 dough or PeerFly they are usually pretty newbie friendly quick approval too.
