My morning paper here in Auckland NZ has a small story that details the current effectiveness of spam marketing. This was done by researchers from 4 US universities running their own ads within a spam network. They ran two ads, viagra and a fake pharmacy site, 'after 26 days, 350 million email messages later = 28 sales.
So now you know how to plan the budget. Lessee... = 12.5 million emails/one sale = no more moaning about just selling one per hundred, lol.

A large spam network is still estimated to make $12,000 per day.

I knew that spam should offer a return, after all I get dozens everyday. However, $12K/day is more than most super affiliates are making!

They only do it because it works even though the ratio is much much higher. To them it is IM and they choose, mail. But remember the head Russian spammer just got busted and faces jail time.

Don't spam, there are tons of other FREE ways to make money online without facing charges.

They call it research because they suck at spamming & can't make any $$, ha, ha!

Some of these overseas operations are spamming in the BILLIONS, so I've heard.

I dont know how those viagra/pharma advertisers get my email address and hotmail doesnt seems to be able to filter them out.
Everyday I get more than 4-5 spamming emails from them.
I think it works though, if not why they keep doing it for years?

This is probably why when they get caught the fines and legal fee's are getting higher and higher.. interesting though
