Hey guys, Thanks in advance for all the help. I'm still reading threads like crazy. That being said, I'm not sure I "get" this part. So for sake of argument, let's say the following is true: I'm in the networks, I can choose a variety of offers, I have a website, and I'm great at PPC in both terms of ability to create winners and unlimited funds. OK. So here's where I'm scratching my head. In general it looks like there are only so many categories to choose from. So let's take the offer of winning an ipad. I'm assuming you don't put an ad out for winning one right? And then take that click to a page you own where you talk about "winning an ipad?" and it's that simple right? What I'm getting at is since there are only a finite number of categories of offers, then how do you get around all 10 (for sake of argument here) kinds already being taken with PPC. What I understand so far. I assume that people pick a market like fans of arena football (or whatever) and pick an offer close to something they might like. So then my question is are you attracting prospects through something related to arena football with PPC and doing a kind of, "oh, by the way, you guys might like this offer for Netflix (or teeth whitening, or cheap auto insurance etc.)? Is that what you do? For those that do it are you attracting leads (whether you capture them or not) through grabbing a market you've selected, reaching them with great keywords, taking them to your page and then popping (whether subtly or with glaring ads) your CPA offer on them? I just can't figure out which route most go. Or if there is a hybrid. Again, I just figure most have tried every permutation of PPC ads from auto ins. to Netflix to career CPA's and so on. So in other words you aren't grabbing leads from PPC by saying, "Free ipad" kind of thing. (Although you know what they say about assuming.) And the only thing I can think of about a hybrid campaign is taking a target market like college christian groups and and offering your ad for CPA teeth whitening when people search "college christian groups" or something so it's just a matter of that particular search yielding ads that you hope they will be interested in. Does any of this make sense? I'm not even sure if I know what I'm trying to ask. While I see a lot of methods here, I'm not seeing a lot of thought and strategy behind the "how-to" of the technical-how-to-get-traffic. In the end: Do you run PPC on the strength of the offer itself? Or do you grab a target or niche market you can reach profitably through PPC and then offer up CPA offers on your page whether blatant or discreetly. Hmmm...Having just read what I wrote I won't win any awards for clarity, but maybe some of you can read my mind and help me out. Thanks folks. |
