Default Lead Impact rant.

At which point should I take legal action? I had some campaigns that I had to wait almost 2 weeks for to get approved. I had enough of their service and decided I wanted a refund. Well, it has been 6 days now and 3 support tickets sent and no reply. Maybe I should get in touch with their hosting account and have them shut down? I am so p.ssed off with them and I just want my money back. What are my options?

You want to get a refund for the money that you have already spent or you just want to get back the money that's still in your balance?

When you log on, hit the "new account Specialist" button at the top right, and select billing from the options and send your email asking for your money back.

Wow I didn't realize people were waiting this long for campaign approvals!

Two weeks is just crazy and makes it very hard to get any kind of momentum going.

I wouldn't advise trying to take legal action over $170 - it won't be worth your time or money.

They have definitely been REALLY slow on approvals lately - but their traffic is still good - for me at least.

Just make a chargeback on your credit card. Thats MUCH, much easier and less hassle. That way, you put the ball in their court. Works everytime!

Any questions just let me know

Have the approval times improved?

I just signed up with LeadImpact and funded my account yesterday with US$200. Started a campaign yesterday with 4 landing pages. Wasn't approved yet overnight (Aussie) time like it would with TrafficVance.

I also noticed it forced all my bids to a min. of 2.5 cents which is high to start in PPV (we know how poorly PPV usually converts). Is 2.5 cents the minimum now in LI? I was really hoping they would start you at 1 cent.

I really hope approvals are doone within 1 business day. As you really need to watch the first few hours and days of new campaigns, in case it explodes and you need to optimise off bad targets.

Dave

Hey 007

No, the approval times are still really bad at LI. To be honest, if you're going to be using them a lot then it's worth signing up for PPVPlaybook - not just for the good info and people, but you can also PM one of the guys at LI who approves your campaign within a few hours. OK, it sucks that you have to go to those lengths but it's one way around the wait.

The minimum bid depends on your keyword/URL. The absolute minimum is $0.015, but some URLs/Keywords have a higher min bid. Also, make sure your bids are on manual rather than auto and set your daily budget at $5 so if it gets approved while you're sleeping, you don't burn $$$ on useless targets. Or, set it to $1 / hour and only make one hour of the week active

Cheers

There are specific terms about refunds in the TOS - did you check those out?

Recommending a chargeback for a refund that has been request less than a week ago is not good advice. Chargebacks aren't innocent refunds - they reflect poorly on the business but also on you. I've known two people who had credit cards canceled due to multiple chargebacks.

As for legal action - in the TOS you agreed to settling disputes over money with binding arbitration in California.

If you meet the standards for refunds in the TOS, you probably will get some money back but it may not be issued as fast as you want.

Charge Backs should really be a last resort. They are very difficult for the network and will likely get you banned for life. Read the TC's see if what obligations they have then decide how best to pursue.

Chargebacks really should be a last resort in my opinion.

Funny, 6 months ago this would have been a DirectCPV rant. It is like they have flip-flopped.
