Does anybody here use a cloud server; Storm Cloud Servers - A Liquid Web Company ? What has your experience been like? Are they reliable? Chris |

Hi Chris, I've researched into a couple different offerings on Rackspace and a some others for cloud hosting. I've been a long time customer of LiquidWeb with my dedicated server and firewall. I've been with almost 10 other hosts over the years but LiquidWeb's support and prices have been unparalleled. When I saw LW launched cloud hosting, I jumped on it. We now have an 8 core xeon with 8gb of ram on their cloud hosting in addition to our 4 core xeon dedicated on the regular LW side. You can get bare metal servers on the cloud hosting side which is different than a lot of other cloud hosting options. It basically lets you select your config and it's almost like having a dedicated server with the ease of scalability that comes with cloud hosting. The cloud hosting bare metal server we have is also almost twice as powerful but less expensive than their regular dedicated offering. You can even have cPanel and everything on there. We'll probably go all cloud soon. |

Cloud is the way to go if you are doing big traffic. I am with Gigenet atm and they are pretty good , also their prices are cheaper than liquidweb.
