Default Whats the scoop on terrific traffic?

Hi Everybody,
I'm learning the CPA game and have been a recent steady reader and learner here. I've noticed we don't discuss traffic here much, yet it seems to me to be the most important thing.
I'm interested in what everyone here is getting best results from, ie a carefully set up Pay Per Click camaigns with google, or perhaps paid traffic that comes from a targeted source, ie single women or men 18 to 50 years for dating as an example, or is there much to be gained from a general blast of a huge quantity of general traffic that reacts to generalized cpa topics ie discount cel phone deals, or e.g, has anyone discovered that SEO traffic is an extra fertile ground, or perhaps social sites like facebook?

So heres the question simplified; if you've used several different methods to bring profitable traffic to your CPA offers, which have been the most productive? SEO, PPC, Targeted/purchased, generalized traffic/cpa or others?
If you find several methods give good results, which are your favorites and why?

Hate to say it, but this thread has a hundred or so views, but no one wants to share thats because traffic is a touchy subject. If you are paranoid like me, and find a good traffic source, sharing it would only saturate it. So I will list some sources that are widely known, but nothing specific. You must find "twists" to add to traffic sources. I will quote the famous cliche when I say "think outside the box" but its true. If you can't think outside the box, go for a walk or go out with friends. An idea might come to you, thats when I get good ideas. Anyways, here is a list.

-PPV network - gather some url's or keywords and buy cheap targeted traffic
-PPC network - same idea, get some keywords and bid on them (can get very costly depending on the niche)
-Article traffic - write content on the niche, submit to directories (consider keyword density)
-Video traffic - create videos on the niche, promote your offer somehow (don't make it too much like an ad, but do have a call to action)
-Facebook (social) traffic - create groups or pages, promote a product on this niche specific website
-Offline traffic - put up some flyers around town (eg: free iphone flyer outside the electronics store with a website url on it)

Of course there are more than this, but it might give you a start. There are un-targeted traffic sources like adf.ly where visitors view your ads for a predetermined amount of time, and don't forget - you need to promote your free traffic methods, like social bookmarking articles and videos you make, or buying some "likes" for you facebook page off of fiverr. Reading is good, but its usually better to put things into action. Learn from your mistakes, but even better - learn from others XD hahaha
