Default Alternatives To BuySellAds

Greetings from Brazil. I am currently a user of BuySellAds, a place where we can sell ad spaces in our website. I wanted to know if there are other Ad Networks that provide similar services and if you can share your experience with them (if any). Appreciate you taking the time.

Nice to see another internet marketer from Brazil!

To answer your question, if your site has good volume I think that you can contact some CPA networks and ask them to suggest your site for publisher doing media buys in your niche.

I have purchased some banner spaces from sites suggested by my affiliate managers, and I assume that people doing large media buys do it very often.

If you have a blog you can also try BlogAds.

Adclays is a new competitor to buysellads with lower fees of 15% compared to 25%. It is currently in beta and offering 10% fee during this period. One feature which we have is the ability to run backfill ads when your space has not been sold thereby still earning you money.

Disclaimer: I work for Adclays.

Hi William. Many thanks for your reply. I have tried some CPA networks before and did not have much positive results. Maybe back then my website was younger and maybe now there is much better chance to dive in. I'll give it a go and see. Thanks again and do have a nice day.

Thanks. I tried AdBrite before and it did not work very well for me. BSA in this case has been serving me well in comparison. It does not mean that it won't work now as I have abandoned AdBrite a long time ago. Maybe I'll look into it again and give it another shot. Thanks

Great. Thanks a lot for letting me know about this. I will be heading over there as soon as I finish here The "backfill" option sounds very interesting and I hope that the requirements are not as strict as BSA, JK.

Thanks.

Oi! Tudo bem!

Are you looking to sell ads on your site? You can use BuySellAds, BlogAds, or even go to a ad network like Casale Media, BurstNet, and ValueClick if you have enough traffic.

I am currently in pending status for Casale Media. You can make over $3.50 CPM if you have the traffic and the right demographics with these networks. Depending on the site you want to monetize I highly suggest you check out the ad networks I mentioned.

Default Re: Alternatives To BuySellAds

I've tried to get into Buy Sell Ads, but I haven't had any luck. I'm way over their traffic requirements, but my blogs appear to be in the wrong niche for them.

I've tried Value Click Media, Burst Media, Banner Connect, Technorati Media, and Adtegrity.

Value Click Media and Banner Connect were terrible for me. I can't remember now, but the cpm's were around 20 cents or so.

Burst Media has some decent CPMs--around $.90 after they keep 50% but they only fill about 50% of your inventory so you need defaults set. Their 300x250 squares are good, but their 728x90 banners are not great.

Adtegrity has 500k monthly minimum page view requirement. I thought because it's difficult to meet traffic requirements that they would have high CPMs. So far, their CPM's kind of suck, around net $.50 with 100% fill at best. On some of my sites, the CPM's have ranged from .14 to .20 cents with Adtegrity.

The other thing I don't like about Adtegrity is that they have really crappy ads. I mostly see spammy looking Forex ads or junky online game sites with cartoons and stuff like that. Probably the worst quality ads I've seen compared to the other networks I've tried. You also have no control over selecting your inventory online, but you can email them to apply filters to the ads. There's also no option for default ads or cutoff cpms.

Most of our traffic is U.S. traffic, but it's really hard to find $3.50 cpms these days from my testing. I don't know if it's really possible, maybe with Tribal Fusion or something similar. So far, I haven't found any ads that can do a buck cpm and I serve over 500k page views per ad location with mostly U.S traffic.

I've tried a few CPA networks, at best, they've offered to buy U.S. only inventory at 50 cents cpm.

I've applied and was rejected by Casale Media for some unknown reason since I met their requirements quite easily. I think I've applied to Blog Ads and they also rejected my application.

Casale rejected me too. They can't fill the inventory for my niche. I was told to check back in 3 or 6 months.

Thanks a ton for letting me know about these networks. I am already a BSA user and I was looking for some alternatives to set up for some websites I have that currently do not meet BSA's requirements. Thanks and I'll check out on the networks you mentioned.

Did the same here and although they have virtually no inventory yet, I think that they might be working on it and being n the "band" wagon first can be something positive to look at. So let's see how they perform.

Instead of displaying ads from these ad networks, why don't people display CPA ads which can get them some leads and make them more money in the long run?

Hi Anwar,

Typically it's because conversions for CPA offers aren't that good. At least that's been my experience and I've tested hundreds of them from one of my high-traffic sites.

The only exception is if the CPA offer is very specific to your site's theme or content. For example: if you have a "Popular baby names" web site, and the CPA offer is something like, "a year's supply of free diapers". In that case, you'll kill it with that CPA offer.

The Banner/Rich-Media display game can be quite profitable if you have volume - and even more so than running CPA offers. It's a numbers game like many other things; but also involves a lot of network "chaining", defaulting to networks that have inventory, and other tactics.
