Hi. I went to sign up with a few networks, they all asked for "Tax ID/VAT or SSN". I am in UK, I am wondering what it refers to? Is this the National Insurence Number or payroll number or something? Thanks. Jim. |

TaxID would be if you are in the US. VAT (correct me if I am wrong) would be if you are in the UK. They are basically the identification number so the network can submit your payment information to the government so the government can have a record of your earnings for that given year. That way when you go to do your year end taxes your numbers should match with the information provided to them via the network. If TaxID or VAT doesn't apply to you because you are in a different location just put N/A in this form field and you should be OK. Brian |
