Disapproved Facebook Ads- need help!

Hello fellow warriors,

I am just starting my first facebook CPA campaign and am coming to terms with facebook. My ads have just been disapproved and I am a bit confused.

I am promoting a mainstream dating CPA offer that is allowed to be advertised on facebook, I know that it is for a fact.

I am testing the offer with direct linking. I first put in my affiliate link in the destination URL. For some reason when I try to preview the ad, a facebook security alert comes up saying users find this site abusive or something about malware.

Then I did direct linking. I bought a domain and forwarded it to my affiliate link.

Both ads got disapproved.

This is what I got: The destination URL of this ad either violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines or could not be reviewed. Please review the URL you have submitted to ensure that it is free of any spelling errors and that it complies with sections 2 and 4 of the Facebook Advertising Guidelines.

------------------

I checked the guidelines and could not see any reasons. I did write to them to ask for clarification.

But I was hoping if any of you have experience with this type of issue and can give me tips on how to get approval with facebook ads.

Thanks for your help.

Mark

To be frank you will find hard time making cpa work with Facebook. You can make it work with adwords but with facebook its really tough.

And I am not sure whether the facebook has problem with redirect link. Chances are even if they don't say it directly they don't like redirect link. You should try making your own landing page and then try again.

And my tip: Don't get discouraged because your ad get disapproved. Facebook disapproval rate is very high so either adapt or leave facebook, there are so many other better options for promoting CPA.

I consider FB a lot easier for dating than AdWords. If you target the right interests and demographics and choose the right offer you can get profitable pretty fast there.

They are both very tough by the nature of affiliate marketing. But I'd have to say that Facebook is much easier in terms of what they will allow.

Firstly Facebook do allow cpa ads.

        Second you can direct link.

Third the issue often is that the reviewer may not be in your country, they got them in Dublin and US now so if your offer is geo located they will see the wrong page and decline the ad. get the ad approved on the plain url through your tracking link and then after change the redirect to the aff tracking url

fourth if you get it right you can drive converting traffic in volumes like you will have never seen before

fifthAd approval is mind numbingly inconsistent

and finally sixth, you can make seriously decent bank with the right offer targeted correctly

  • I thought facebook was a good platform to promote certain CPA offers.

What is a better option than facebook in your opinion?

By the way, back to the general question I was asking, this is what I get from facebook when I try to preview the URL of my advert:

    Sorry...

The link you are trying to visit has been reported as abusive by Facebook users. To learn more about staying safe on the internet, visit our Security Page. You can also check out the malware and phishing Wikipedia articles.

    -----------

but is a clean site. I know for a fact it is being promoted on facebook.

Any one have any idea how to fix the problem?

    Thanks,

Is your image too riske? Are there any misleading promises made in your text? Does the text in your ad match the offer correctly? Any type of mis information or pie in the sky promises will get your ad declined as well. Also FB is ok with direct linking, but not if the page your linking too has an exit splash page that prevents the user from leaving. I also think they have a problem with pages that link to offers that have i frames with in them too.
Take the time to read the TOS for FB ads and chances are the reason will make itself known to you. All the best.

Hey Mark! Keep up with it! Facebook is very inconsistent, don't get down on yourself, just keep rolling out new ads!

One of the biggest things - with Facebook often the target country may be different than where the reviewer is from, if this is the case they are often redirected to another offer which may be unrelated to your ad

Facebook can be shady sometimes with approving ads. I'm sure it has to do with the reviewer and if they're in a good/bad mood haha.

This is very true, just keep posting ads. Different times of the day, different ad copies, etc.

One other thing is you have to put the name of the dating offer somewhere in your adcopy, this is a must or they will disapprove. Also if you are direct linking and targeting an offer outside of the US, they will be redirected to a different offer and decline it.

Make your ads visible the same from each country of the world. In your case before approval redirect from your domain to their homepage (i.e. offer homepage), after - to your affiliate link

The direct linking site you are trying to promote most likely has been blacklisted by Facebook.

If you are going to marketing with FB, I highly suggest you use a softer approach. Start with list building in your niche. Give away some free stuff as a bribe for their emaill address. Then build the relationship before selling.

This is basic internet marketing 101, but it is essential for any Facebook success.
