What should I bid now on POF?

Heads up everyone, as the holiday season comes close, we're also seeing bids adjusted accordingly. I don't think POF recommended bids are going to hold up (actually I'm 99.9% sure they won't) from now until Valentines.

I'd estimate ~$0.45 internationally and ~$0.60 US will be the new standard for significant traffic. For those of you bidding higher, you may need to adjust your bids accordingly as well.

wow,you guys are starting to become more like FB,bid prices are always going up and only boring images are allowed,any pics that show more than a girls face seem to get denied.

Minimum bid is $0.10 CPM, depends how much traffic you want right?

This. Remember, if you bid $0.51, you deliver ahead of everyone who's bidding $0.50, be smart with your bidding!

It's like that on adwords and most other platforms.... 7's & 2's! Well that's just one method..... the majority will bid in 5's, so bidding 51 vs. 50 is very little difference to your bottom line but you get priority.

Thanks for the heads up Ben - not sure why these people are complaining.

PoF is nothing anywhere near as strict as Facebook and the bid prices are lower as well.

They're both great traffic sources - quit whining and make money.

Bids on POF rarely break the $2 mark so you might be interested in some cheaper traffic if you're used to $10 CPM!

They are actual visitors to your site and not just impressions, thats why ppv is much more effective

It's painful. Approvals are non-existent for lots of affiliate offers, or slow for anything they will approve.

I've always liked PoF and actually wrote a brief couple of things about it (in terms of pros and cons) in my blog -- which I barely write in.. definitely have to pick it up a bit there.

Yeah, I agree in that CPM can be a little trickier than CPC initially but once you get the hang out it, you can spend a lot less for clicks on a CPM model than CPC. Thanks for your kind words Phil!
