Last night I was going through my voice mail and I got a message from someone at affiliate cash pile that was quite odd... It went something like: "Good afternoon this is $name from Affiliate Cash Pile. We're calling you to activate your affiliate account and need to speak with you before we do. There is no way for you to call us back so we'll try back later" Hmmm... I looked at the voicemail logs on Twilio and saw that the call came in from a blocked phone number. That's odd. In a large way affiliate marketing is about trust. The networks I do business with end up holding a large amount of my money between pay cycles. I have to trust they're going to pay me, and that they have my interests in mind and not just the advertisers. I've never worked with a network where I didn't talk to my affil. manager a few times a month. One where I couldn't call if I had a question about an offer. That just strikes me as so strange and somewhat shady. I'm not even sure why I signed up with ACP, I think I saw a thread on here and thought to check it out. Anyways I think I'll pass as it seems like they're working a bit to hard to hide for my tastes... What would you guys do? Would you work with an affiliate network that hides their phone number from you? |

ACP is a good network - I just got paid by them yesterday ![]() They recently re-vamped their interface, which includes a chat area where you can often chat w/a company rep. They still use the HasOffers platform, I think, which I've never liked. I never realized it before, but no, my affiliate manager doesn't have a phone number listed. I know I've spoken with ACP on the phone, but I guess it was them that initiated the call. So maybe they have some areas of improvement, but they have good payouts and they pay twice a month, which is great for newbies who would otherwise have to wait over a month. I personally have 3 networks that pay me weekly, but I still use ACP sometimes because of the payouts and access to specific offers. ACP isn't my top network, but IMO it's a good one. |

As I haven't used them yet, I wont make an assessment of their network. I'm just commenting on the phones...

One way to minimize this risk is to get the fastest payout possible - that way they're only holding a week's worth of revenue at a time, and not a month's. If I'm doing big volume w/an offer, I will usually opt to run it with a network that pays me weekly, even if it means a slightly lower payout on that offer. | |

I wont speak about the specific network because I've never worked with them before so this is more of a reply about the situation, not so much the specific network being brought up....If i was in your shoes, my main concern would be if they hide a phone number from me (someone they rely on to generate profit and revenue for their company), what else may they be hiding from me? They may end up being your favorite network, only way to find out is join. I would get a feel for them before you begin sending traffic and taking your own money to invesnt in their offers but if you have open communication with your AM, get a good vibe from your communications, give it a shot. |

They are likely using a online voip service, so it will not show a phone number. Hit up the owner and suggest to fix this. |

Manuel who runs ACP is a good guy and I can vouch for him. Not sure what the deal is about "you can't call them back" but they are definitely a legit network. There could be a couple reasons why they want to initiate the call to you if you are a pending publisher. Anyhow, they are legit for sure. Brian |

Yes, they have a phone number. It is 916-617-7899. HOWEVER, The reason they said you can not call back is because they will not process an approval on an inbound call. They must reach you at the number you included on your application. It is a fraud prevention measure to ensure your telephone details are legitimate. |

Hi, If you visit our homepage there is a number on the top right, next to the contact us button (1-800-303-3510). My approvals department does call from a restricted number as they do not take calls. This is to prevent fraud (we have all seen those threads, just applied to X network someone call for me and get me approved). The number listed above (916-617-7899) was my old direct line, I do have a new direct line which I give any ACP member upon request. |
