Let me first say, this is not a serious angry petition, but, really, for everybody to make more money (networks included), you need to help us as much as possible! Just some things that bother me: NUMBER 1!!!: Having NO IDEA what it takes to get a CPA offer to convert. I mean, seriously... It's like trying to persuade somebody to drink Everclear straight when you've never done it... You dont really know how to go about persuading them! Even if it's not an incentive offer, it would be so helpful if EVERY network actually told you: One page submit.... "credit card required but not charged"... it's so much easier knowing HOW you are going to make your money.. It's kind of like just being thrown to the wolves. I understand you are supposed to generate meaningful leads regardless, but one might go about promoting DIFFERENTLY if they know what the "action" in cpA actually is going to require! lol Number 2: being able to sort by everything... payment amount, epc, etc etc... amazingly, some networks dont have this simple function.. it just makes things longer and drawn out, when I could be making your company more money instead of trying to find the highest paying offer because their is nothing to sort it (what the...?) Number 3: this one is not required, but would really be nice... a way for us, the affiliate, to actually test the offer out to see what someone has to do to trigger the conversion. There is no way to do this currently (well I guess unless you open another web browser.. but then you'd have to clear cookies , and it would still have your ip tracked).. why not a simple way in the dashboard, just to do an offer in test mode? Like I said, this one is not that serious but would be nice... I'll let you guys add on.. IMO, numbers 2 and 1 are vital and should really be basic. It's amazing the difference in quality of some backends between various networks.. Just make things as easy for us as possible and we can more easily make you as much money as possible ![]() everyone else add on your suggestions! So many Affiliate owners visit here, I'm sure they'll take notice. |

Hi There...I love petitions...but here are my comments... NUMBER ONE - most networks do explicitly define the point of conversion or when the action takes takes place. And you can sometimes test the offer through the preview at many networks. NUMBER TWO - I do agree that some affiliate tracking systems are a pain in the butt, though most networks in my opinion do a decent job at breaking offers up by niche...then you can just browse to see street payouts. But truthfully, payouts dont mean much if the offer doesnt convert so your best bet is to just ask your affiliate manager what the best offer is for what you are doing. NUMBER THREE - You can sometimes preview an offer and go through the motions So I guess I mostly agree with point two, that some networks should enhance their reporting functions. |

Not bashing any network, love that they give us an oppurtunity to make money; hopefully this can help them really improve and be the best they can be.

I agree, specially with the first one. Of course, I never start a campaign without knowing what action is required, but with some (many) networks it's necessary to contact the affiliate manager to have this information. Also, most networks don't say how many pages the user needs to go through, they say "completes on profile creation", but how many pages does it take to complete a profile? Some dating offers are 2, or thers 3 and I have also seen 4 page submits. The number of pages makes a lot of difference, so I hit the preview button and create a profile when I intend to start promoting an offer... sorry, but I need to know what I'm going to be sending traffic to ![]() William

Yes, exactly. This is my thing though william, maybe I was confusing in my original post... Most companies I'm with let you preview the offer, but I'm scared to actually fill it out to test because I dont want to earn a commission and risk getting my account banned.. I was saying, their should be some way for me to go through the entire sign up or conversion process myself, without it storing a cookie on my computer or whatever... Maybe I just answered my own question: when it let's you preview, does that store the tracking cookie on your computer? (I feel like an idiot if it dosen't, I've been assuming it does).

I totally agree with NUMBER 1!!! It would be much more convenient if affiliate networks provide the detailed info of what action is required for each offer. |

As an above poster said, where they could just hire a programmer, pay him what, $200 or less? To allow sorting by all criteria... This is a serious head scratcher and honestly a little disturbing to me. As said, hopefully the networks will come read this and take action!

I do hope networks take notice of issues like this...would benefit them and the affiliates and may even be an inherent competitive advantage for these networks. The other thing to point out is that over time the point of conversion is pretty obvious based on the type of offer and payout. To be perfectly honest, I rarely don't know where the point of conversion is when browing through offers...but again I can see how newer marketers can get confused if its not spelled out.
