Default has clickbank lost its edge

be interested what are peoples' view on clickbank nowadays

there are still so many products flying around re how somebody goes from 'zero to hero' in 30 days using Clickbank

However i found that I have very little success across all my sites with CB and most of it comes from the follow up list.

but i have another methods whereby i do a similar amount of work and money comes in daily

Are these 'now gurus' selling the method as the actual method is not working anymore!!?

Something funny about ClickBank: that's the network where most newbies try to cut their teeth, and newbies struggle. So ClickBank tends to receive more than it's fair share of criticism, in large part because newbies are projecting their normal struggles and failures onto the platform they're using, instead of learning from their mistakes and changing their marketing strategy.

In contrast, very few CPA networks can match the solid record that CB has, but since they tend to attract more sophisticated marketers, you don't hear as many people kvetching about these CPA networks.

Honestly, most people are too lazy to get a refund from ClickBank. Or they don't even consider it or think of it as too much of a "hassle".

Yeah, 60 days is way too much time for a refund window if you ask me. But getting scrubbed or shaved by CPA networks isn't any better.

I think CB is still plenty good. It's usually the affiliate, not the network that's the problem. I personally have not had much success with them, but hey, I'm just a newbie!

I personally think that Clickbank is looking very old and tired these days.

I never liked them. I hate the way they stop newbies form getting paid out. You have to have so many orders through several different payment methods before you will get a cheque. if you don't pass this requirement, they start clawing back commissions each month until there is zero left. I kid you not. Newbies who will naturally start making sales gradually, could end up seeing all of their commissions taken back by clickbank for what they spuriously call 'accounting purposes'.

Contrast that with up & coming networks like PaySpree. This is many times smaller but far more powerful and modern. It is essentially a 'cloud version' of the $7 secrets script. Its a flat lifetime $29 to add as many products as you like (people can promote products as affiliates for free) and they take only a small sales fee. The main advantage is that the sales go instantly and directly into your Paypal account, whether you are a vendor or an affiliate seller. No waiting, no hassles. Bang. You are paid.

That's the way of the future IMO.

I just had a quick look, thanks for the tip this looks interesting. However, it does appear that the downside of this payment method is that if there is a refund, Payspree remove that directly from your Paypal account. If the funds aren't available, Payspree may close your account.

I'm not sure the Clickbank way of holding back a certain amount for a while is all that bad. It's really just a kind of insurance, and you get it back anyway unless you stop earning. (I agree their 'accounting fees' and first payment criteria are pretty bad.)

Cheers, John
