Hi, Now I'm entering my 2nd week implementing a paid CPA Campaign. 1st week using Plenty Of Fish. As adviced by Senior Warriors, I do split-testing based on my graphics, text and demographics. I did 5 campaigns at 1 go for 7 days before Christmas. The Offers were for apparels and gifts. Most people have already bought them ahead. So I think, it was wrong timing. There was only 1 conversion from 10 clicks of 7,000 impressions. Late shopper I guess. The big question is, there were slightly more than 200,000 impressions for other 4 products but no one seems to be interested. Total clicks 40. Wrong product or wrong timing or wrong target or bad creatives? I'll never know. I dropped the 4 campaigns because no one needs to buy apparels after Christmas maybe until end of January. I think, after spending much, they want to keep it a rest for a while. Early 2nd week using Plenty of Fish So I kept 1 campaign running into the 2nd week because it has the most clicks and impressions. I thought maybe after Christmas, people want to save some money and get Good Deals on thousands of things they use everyday. I'm split testing on text and demographics. I added LIMITED DAYS ONLY, as urgency. I started 4 new campaigns as well. This time, zero-ing in to specific localities, ethnic, education and income bracket. Split-testing every single one. The problem is, every time you improve your copy, it has to undergo approval process again. Takes several hours. So lost of impression opportunities. Having 5 Ad varieties per campaign, really helps. My unexpected findings I get better conversions from FREE CAMPAIGNS with smaller traffic in 1 week. I must be doing something right there ....lol. And as soon as I focussed on PAID CAMPAIGNS, I neglected my FREE CAMPAIGNS. So zero conversions for free campaigns. This is not good. This means, I cannot ignore one to focus on another method. Both must be done concurrently. I need energy boosters for my brains. I can hear it crackles sometimes. lol. Also an unexpected finding. On POF, I noticed clicks start coming, almost everytime after 2,000 impressions. Is this a significant thing to look at? Doing PAID CAMPAIGNS is an interesting learning experience You get to guess people's behaviors based on their background, then select offers. Improve your copy a little bit, they will click. Use nicer graphics, they clicked. You improve demographic targets a little bit, you get more clicks and save money on CPC. I also realized that certain campaigns require landing pages to explain the offers further. And the best part is getting more familiar with Tracking 202, Google Analytics and Redirection Providers as well as how to deal with Networks. You get to dig deeper into offers they have that you overlooked. Recently hard-wired in my brains : PAID CAMPAIGNS & FREE CAMPAIGNS are all about traffic - quality ones. Yeah. I the last part really makes the difference. Its hard work and fun. |

It should be Assalamu alaikum. Then it will mean "Peace be Upon You". The one you just said means " Death Be Upon You ". roflmao... lol. I hope I won't be dead so soon. So many people will missed me. lol Ok. I will heed your advice about rotating landing pages. Never thought of that. The images for each campaign are auto-rotated because I prepared a set of 5 for each. I'm using Adplanner to have a baseline on the demographic targets in POF. Also I'm using Insights to match target locales with certain keywords ( aka look at what they want and what offers I can dig from Networks ). Few things I discovered based on the 2 tools. Californians order more footwear online than anyone else. While Louisiana girls are the most concerned about beauty. New Yorkers are very passionate about marriage preparation. Don't make me start about who eats the most food. lol. Right now, I want to see how far POF will bring me. If successful, I'll use MrGreen's starting early March once I hit 30 campaigns at one go. I'll be tweaking copies and creatives a lot. So, definitely MrGreen will help. First off, I want to master POF CPM manually and see what ticks people to click (aka behavior). Then it'll be PPC in unique niche Search Engines. My backup plan is Free Traffic to 3 niche sites I'm working on right now. Thanks for the advice. Advice motivates me a lot. | |
