Hey
I am working on a new site and network of pages (hub ez etc) to promote an CPA/L offer

Its all going OK so far Hub and Squidoo pages done a couple of articles wrtten
Site itself is going OK

But i am wondering about getting the balance right between a well optimised site and a site thay converts

Its in the freebie niche and a person needs to fill out a form for the conversion to take place
On my site I plan to write up some articles and of course a main sales pitch
I then plan to put up adverts around the site promoting my offer (affiliate)
My main problem with this is I fear too much content will distract from the adverts on general freebie offers
However google likes content

I could of course just set up a redirect from my page or have a single page site with a sales copy but in my personal experience google dont like these

I want to get a good google ranking. I am aiming for top 5

I am slightly lost on the best thing to do
Any advice

Ps if it makes a difference I am using word press

good question. i think you should not be tensed about this at all. if i was you then i would not think about promoting my offers at first. i would love to attract people and increase m visitors.after getting noticed by the search engine and ranked in Google then i would like to emphasize on the product promotion. i am sure that it would fulfill your expectation. and you should remember that if a well reputed site make a little scam it will not be notified by google and it will not create any problem (personal experience)

I think you shouldn't think about product promotion atfirst.Think about increasing your rank in Google and then the number of visitors.Finally,your sell will increase automatically and will be in top 5 oneday.
Don't lose your energy for working.Keep trying.
