In case you guys get a mind block for creating a new campaign... Remember to always be cashing in on whats "Buzzing" or resonating at the water-cooler -it will get you loads of traffic. I often find myself looking at the front page of Yahoo! just keeping up with what things are trending. Right now you should be thinking of the NFL Playoffs. It's HOT Right Now! And Think Ahead To March Madness And Start Planning! I was just browsing a Fan Page and was shown an ad for the New York Jets and an ad for the Pittsburgh Steelers, at the same time. One I decided to snapshot... Take a look, it's probably NOT an affiliate advertisement, based on the destination URL and the stated low cost of 2.95 with free shipping, there's very little room left for any profit after the click. Think about it, Theyre selling a product for 2.95, they pay 50 cents for a click from targeting Steeler fans on facebook and they're down to 2.45. Using bare minimum shipping processes its going to be at least 1.80 to package and ship. That leaves us with .65 profit- not counting any labor. So what is going on here? We It's a branding media buy, that is also an in-house lead generation campaign. Although they are damn near losing money on the campaign; they are however building a database of names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails from people they know convert, people who will buy their products. I share this story because so many of us are working in CPA marketing, and we need to show our advertisers that they need us, and that lead generation (which is what this and CPA marketing is all about) do generate profits, often in large amounts... And for that I thank you. Take a look at the ad that inspired the post. |

So you think it may be an affiliate ad after all? And if thats the case, I'm surprised FB approved the ad without disclosing the rebill. |
