Hey folks, I was looking at affiliate marketing for last week or so. I noticed that many networks have a clause that when they unilaterally terminate affiliate agreement they also forfeit payments due to you. To me it sound like a plain rip off. I understand when company uses affiliates to build brand and then terminates affiliate dept all together however not paying for the job already done? I found 1 network so far whose terms and conditions do no mention commission forfeiture and I am looking for more. Who can you recommend? Also it would be be nice to hear some affiliate networks managers view on this matter |

We have never banned publishers without paying them and never will. That is one of the reasons that we do not "auto-approve" gateways and websites. We make sure you're doing everything the correct way so that there are no problems later on. That way, we never have to ban people for an "unspecified" reason. Hope this helps! The good and established networks don't do this as mass unjustified denials of commissions is digging their own grave for any network. In truth, most times a commission is denied, its for good reason, most likely the affiliate broke some of the terms...normally many. Remember, networks are working for affiliates just as much as they are working for advertisers. By pissing off any one of those players, the network becomes obsolete, so they really need to please both sides. Of course rip offs do happen but its rare and happens more frequently BY affiliate not AGAINST affiliates. |

I've found copeac, fluxads, and maxbounty to all be above board and fair. It's the smaller fly by night operations you need to watch out for in my opinion. They have been known to do some pretty shady things! Bill |

So far from reading terms and conditions Lead Bolt indeed does not have rip off clause ![]() Maxbounty, peer fly and some others have it. Looks like I am better off financially to direct most of traffic to my own products and services |

We are also a network that will never keep your commissions unless you have been found to be connected to some kind of fraudulent leads / sales. If everything adds up properly, and we have transparency with you, and you are doing everything legit, then you will never have to worry about funds not being released to you.

One way to ensure that this doesn't happen is to work with a solid network, one with actual experience in the industry. Follow the terms, stay in touch with your account manager, and let them know what you are doing to promote their campaigns. If they are not proactive enough to follow up with you regularly then it is always a good idea to reach out to them from time to time. | |
