Hey guys, I went through several threads regarding this as I know it has come up many times before. I just need someone to guide me step by step (I'm very new to this) to get my tracking.. on track. So I have a LeadImpact account that I want to start using for PPV traffic. I have a MaxBounty account with my offer ready to go. I also have a Tracking 202 account. So I went into Tracking 202 and started adding my campaign. On Step 3 "Aff Campaigns" I chose MaxBounty as the network, I named the campaign, and I added the affiliate URL exactly as... http://www.mb01.com/lnk.asp?o=3434&c=918271&a=74598&s1=[[subid]] Is this correct? The reason I'm confused is because on the right side of the Affiliate URL input form it says [subid]. I don't know why it says this... I don't know if Tracking 202 automatically adds this? I don't know if it means that I should add it... So I went ahead and put in the URL above. Is this correct? Now the next part I'm having problems with is Step 8 "Get Pixel/Postback URL" It shows me Global Tracking Pixel with an unsecured link and a secured SSL link. I'm guessing I won't be using either of these because they have HTML codes in them and I don't think the "Callback Pixel/URL" in MaxBounty campaign will allow this type of link. So under Global Tracking Pixel, there is Global Post Back URL. Now it has two URLs (one secure, one not) and they look like this. http://static.tracking202.com/gpb/1x...39by2rp?subid= https://static.tracking202.com/gpb/1...39by2rp?subid= I'm guessing I'm going to use one of these? Now which one do I paste into my MaxBounty campaign area where it says "Callback Pixel/URL"? I want to track keywords AND URLs where my leads are coming from. I would VERY MUCH appreciate any help anyone can provide as I've been lost for several days now ![]() Thank you so much in advance and I will let you know how it goes once I can get this SubID/Pixel tracking stuff down. Thanks! |

Hi Looks like you're just about there.... Quote:
Quote:
http://static.tracking202.com/gpb/1x4zm39339by2rp?subid=#S1# That will then get MaxBounty to pass back the subid of the converting click to Tracking 202 Quote:
One final word, T202 can be VERY slow and does go down quite a bit which can costs you $$ running a PPV campaign. Seriously consider moving to self hsted Prosper as soon as you reasonably can. Cheers | |||

thank you SO much for your response. You're truly a huge amount of help. I do currently have a shared hosting account that can handle multiple domains. Is this enough or do I need a VPS or dedicated server or something to handle Prosper? If shared hosting is enough, maybe I'll start working on setting that up instead of finishing setting up Tracking202. Thanks again! |

No problems, glad to help ![]() Shared hosting will work up to a point, but a VPS or dedi is required if you're driving thousands of clicks an hour. If you're just getting started though and on a smaller PPV budget, shared will be just fine to get you up and running and a billion pecent better than T202 AND, If you're using Hostgator, you'll probably need to install the patched version 1.5 as I think 1.6 still has issues with Hostgator. Drop me a line if you need it. If you're not on HG, forget everything I just said and install V1.6 ![]() Cheers |

I asked my host if they have the requirements for Prosper202 and they replied "Unfortunately the required version of MySQL is not 5.0 but 5.1 + and currently we have installed 5.0.x on this specific shared hosting server thus the application can not be accurately supported." :-/ I guess I'm stuck with Tracking 202 for now.. unless the patch you mentioned fixes this issue?? lol. Thanks for the help. |

Hmmm, couldn't really say if it would work with 5.0 sorry, I'm running 5.1 You could always try to install it on a subdomain and see how you go? |

ok so I went ahead and installed it myself even though my hosting support said it doesn't work and guess what... it worked ![]() It just gave me a warning that after 250,000 clicks are generated it will slow down heavily. Hopefully by then I'll realize if I'm profitable and invest in a VPS or dedicated server. Now let's see if I can figure out how to set up SubIDs and Pixel tracking and if it's any different/confusing. Heh. |

Hello, I'm getting a bit confused on setting up a callback for Max bounty and Prosper 202. This will be for the Lead Impact network. My affiliate link for a diabetes offer is: http://www.mb01.com/lnk.asp?o=3705&c=46754&a=78909 Simple Global Tracking Pixel Here is the tracking pixel for your t202 account. Give this to the network or advertiser you are working with and ask them to place it on the confirmation page. With the pixel placed on the confirmation page, everytime you get a lead or sale, it will fire the pixel and update your leads automatically when this pixel fires. If you are confused about which pixel you need (secured or unsecured), please contact the advertiser or network and they should be able to tell you which one you'll need. <img height="1" width="1" border="0" style="display: none;" src="http://www.domain.com/tracking202/static/gpx.php?amount=2" /> Simple Global Post Back URL If the network you work with supports post back URLs, you can use this URL. The network should use this post-back URL and call it when a lead or sale takes place and they should put the SUBID at the end of the url. When the post back url is called it should automatically update your subids for you. If you are confused about which link you need (secured or unsecured), please contact the advertiser or network and they should be able to tell you which one you'll need. If the affiliate network you are working with can only pass the ?sid= variable, you can replace ?subid= with ?sid= http://www.domain.com/tracking202/st...mount=2&subid= The 2 is the offer amount.. There instructions are as follows: Can you pass me back any data in the callback? Yes, we can pass back data to your callback script. The following table shows the code snippets you can use in your callback URLs to receive back data: Code Snippet Value Returned in Callback #S1# The value that was in the s1 on the click that generated the lead. #S2# The value that was in the s2 on the click that generated the lead. #OFFID# The ID of the campaign for which a lead was generated. #IP# The IP address from where the lead was generated. Examples Here are some examples: http://www.mysite.com/postback.php?memberid=#S1# http://www.mysite.com/callme.asp?s1=#S1#&ipaddress=#IP# http://www.mysite.com/gotlead.php?campaign=#OFFID# If anyone can simplify this for me it would be greatly appreciated! Such as: http://www.domain.com/tracking202/st...t=2&subid=#S1# or however it should be done correctly. I was told that the simple global pixel tracking is more reliable. But I don't know how to do that either in Max bounty if that is possible at all.. Thanks for your time, Brian |

We're running into the same issue with T202/P202 and MaxBounty. How SHOULD the {keyword} variable be passed from 202 to MaxBounty's callback pixel? &s1={keyword} or another format? Brian #2 |

With MaxBounty, should it make a difference if it's a Tracking Pixel versus a Post Back URL? ref: https://dashboard.tracking202.com/tr.../get-postback/ |

ok just an update. My tracking appears to be working with max bounty and prosper 202. Go into prosper 202 and choose "#8 Get Postback/Pixel" Then Simple Global Tracking Pixel Take that code <img height="1" width="1" border="0" style="display: none;" src="http://www.domain.com/tracking202/static/gpx.php?amount=" /> and use just the following http://www.domain.com/tracking202/st...px.php?amount= I did that yesterday and my keywords are showing each conversion. Regards, Brian |
