Hello fellow warriors, I am getting screwed by a major CPA network and I need your help. I am not going to reveal the name of the network at this stage but can assure you it is a major and reputable one. I want to share with you my story in order to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else and to ask for your help. I am seriously stuck in a rut! I focus on promoting my CPA offers with facebook. And after a few months and thanks to the help of some great mentors on here, I am really getting a hang of it it. However, as you know with facebook you need to invest money in ads. That has taken a hit on my pocket. Also the terms of my CPA network is payment is 30 days net, so I get paid 30 days after the end of the month. It is a long time for someone who invests a lot of money on facebook. So anyway, for a few months I been going solid with this CPA network and getting lots of conversions. All the traffic I generate is 100% from facebook. Now the network is due to pay me end of the month and it is a big sum, which I need, as I invested a lot of money on facebook ads. So last week, I noticed that my leads are not converting. But by now I figured my conversion rate and I was surprised to see after spending a lot of money on facebook, generating hundreds of targeted clicks I got no conversions. So I contacted by AM. My AM told me, I was blacklisted for fraud. Make a note: I got no e-mail to pause or suspend my campaigns, just I was told I am blacklisted for fraud. My affiliate link was disabled. So I immediately paused my campaigns without prior warning. I asked how could that be if 100% of my traffic is from facebook? They said, we have proof against you, that a number of leads were generated from ISPs would ISPs associated with fraud and that some of the leads came from the same IP address. I then insisted, that it wasn't me. All my tarffic was legit from facebook. I have no control over the users of facebook. Anyway, they also said they are going to withold my money which would put me at a major loss. They said the burden is on me to proof to them I didn't commit fraud and it was going to be tough for me to proof. Very odd. My AM was very uncooperative and didn't really give me much details or want to discuss the matter much with me. I am in complete shock. I did nothing wrong, all my traffic is legit from facebook and I am now blacklisted for fraud and my money may never get to me. What bothers me is instead of alleging what happened and investigate it they immediately concluded I was in the wrong, without even informing me what happened and give me a chance to respond. Now they said I need to take screen shots from my facebook accounts. I can do that, but I have hundreds of campaigns promoting these offers, that will take hours and hours. My question is, with the CPA networks, doesn't their tracking systems show where my traffic comes from? Can't they tell all my traffic is from facebook. Have you heard of anything like this? What do you suggest I do? Any suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks, Mark |

I am a little confused. You seem to think that there is money due, and yet you say that ads are not converting. If they are not converting, then there will be no money due. I must say that I have never been able to understand the business model of running CPA ads on Facebook. There is a set population (okay, it is 500 million), but nevertheless there is a set population (ie YOU are fishing in the EXACT same pond that the owners of the product or service you are offering could fish in themselves). Surely if there was money in it to run FB ads, they'd be doing it themselves, and not offering that product or service in a CPA form (and therefore there is no need for them to share their take with anyone). There cannot be money in it, or they'd do it themselves and not share it..... The clicks must either be too high or the conversions too low. |

Wow Mark that is horrible! As a fellow FB advertiser who pushes CPA offers via FaceBook that is a bit scary! Also the fact that you don't get paid on a weekly basis makes it even worse! What a terrible loss of an investment. Hope everything works out for you in the end, that is incredibly disheartening. -MJ |

Money was due for leads that have already been converted and credited to my account. When I was referring to not converting, that is when they disabled my link without prior notice. Re Facebook having a set population, yet it is but a much rather big one growing by the day. Also if you think about more people now are on facebook than google. So not only can you target more people on facebook but the quality of traffic is much more targeted than google in some instances, because you can target people by their likes and interests. I have actually done quite well promoting CPA offers on facebook. It may not be for everyone but it has worked pretty well for me and that makes this ordeal even harder... | |

Was the specific offer that created an issue for you a lead based campaign or sale based campaign?

You were right Steve M ![]() OP - I don't know what kind of volume you were pushing and you may have asked for this already but i would request a detailed lead report from the affiliate network. Showing IP information, time stamps, information collected on the form, ETC. If they oblige and they absolutely should if this is the stance they're taking, you should look into the offers you generated. If they collect an address, see if the IP of the lead matches up with the address on the form, if you're feeling crazy that day maybe even calling the leads you generated and confirming that they opted into the offer willingly. Dont leave it completely in the network / advertisers hands, start to evaluate your own leads and push back, easier said than done and i realize this is not your job, it's the networks but it seems like you're going to have to do some of the ground work that's not being done or is being overlooked. Either way best of luck to you. |
