Hi Guys, I am not in any network yet, but when comes the joining time, I will try to get into as many networks as possible. Reason? I red that if you get banned from a network running on Direct Track (most of), you will have a big troubles to get into a next CPA network, becouse you are on black list. So I thing that it is better to get into as many networks as possible in the very beginning. You could be banned even if you are a honest affiliate and use only legal methods to generate traffic. I thing there are some guys which donīt like competitors and if they see me higher in gg adwords, they try to destroy me and take my possition - start filling my offers from proxies, typing fake names etc. Network will see this and they will think that I am a fraudster. How I am supposed to defend against this kind of scammers? Do you guys have experiences with this? |

As long as you aren't shady, drive good traffic and don't break ignore the network and the advertiser tos you have nothing to worry about. Since 2005 I have never been kicked from a network. I don't think you have much to worry about. On the other hand, if you're sending traffic to a bunch of networks you're going to find yourself below the payment threshold on many of them. Best advice, find a couple of networks you like and make friends with your affiliate managers. |

Yeah to be honest if you're legitimate and driving proper traffic then you aren't going to get banned. It's not something I would worry about too much or put a huge amount of thought into to be honest. |

It depends on traffic. If you can drive quality traffic (traffic that converts into action) they will be a good source of income for you.

There is always a reason for an affiliate to be banned. You must have gone against their TOS for them to ban you. If your traffic is just simply not converting for the advertiser, they just might stop your traffic to that specific offer. Networks don't ban blindly. You are the one making them money. You must give them a reason for doing so. |

Just make sure to sign up to the established networks that use Direct Track and always keep in contact with your AM. A good relationship with your AM can go a far way.

I think the OP wants to know what happens when competitors attack his offers and causes his account / traffic to be reviewed Quote:

That's ridiculous, the number of affiliates that make any money for networks is so low, it takes a lot to get banned. I've had other hater affiliates report my landers to networks, the FTC, the IRS, their local church and anyone else who would listen but I've never been banned by a network running clean traffic. You're giving way too much credit to people that don't like others success, most are too broke and too stupid to ever do any real damage. If you're running aggressive landing pages or cloaking then there are occasional cry baby affiliates living with their mothers that will report you to facebook, google etc, but that won't affect your network relationships. Networks have gotten really good over the last few years at sniffing out dirty traffic and who's running it. If you are a solid affiliate, they aren't going to want to lose you. I've had many situations where a network gave me a new account and publisher ID to run on rather than ban me. |
