Just wondering whats your peoples conversion rate on health/free trial offers running them via banners/media buys? Anyone having success with it? Good thing to invest the money in?

Simply put, a media buy is when an advertiser buys space on a high-traffic website. Pulse360.com is an example of an advertising network where you can place a media buy. Via pulse360, you can feed your site into places like Weather.com. Weather.com sells portions of pages for advertisement, which is where you come in. You may be working with various ways to pay for an advertisement. CPM is when an media buy organization gives you a certain number of “Impressions”, which are loads of your ad on their site |

In terms of the conversion rates for some of the placements mentioned by johnpeter1212: Acai and Colon - 2 offers being paired on a blog or article type page...Acai will typically convert at 10-17% depending on the offer obviously. Colon will usually converty around 20-30%. again this is when you 2 step the consumer, which is very popular via media buys for this niche. Skin - Same concept, typically two offers are paired using a jump page. the first offer converts around 8-14%, the second offer on the splash page, 12-20%. E-Cig - i've really only seen one offer being used for this niche, kind of tough to 1-2 punch a consumer for this niche although i have seen publishers offer an e-cig offer and pair it with a teeth whitening offer, the E-Cig conversion rates can be anywhere from 8-15%. But always as your network for this data, in continuity...conversion rates can and will fluctuate frequently, it's just the nature of the beast... and those conversion rates are based off top tier placements I've seen...I'm sure there is a ton of money to be made for these niches and media buying on other sources that don't require high conversion rates like the ones mentioned above. If you're just getting into media buying maybe you do some research on forums or blogs in the health and beauty vertical and contact those website owners to buy directly on their site rather than going through an ad-network that is competitive and can afford to mark up bid prices. Either way best of luck. |

I think your question is too broad... The conversion rate will be always different depending on your offer, landing page and placements. It's impossible to give you exact numbers, because each campaign is different. William

@Stephen: You're probably just talking about the highest network performances you've seen? Those stats are definitely not the average and again, depend on several factors as mentioned above. | |

Absolutely Back Links - I'm using data i see on a daily basis and those publishers are running on ad-networks like Ad-Blade, Pulse, Quigo, ETC...definitely not the industry norm for conversion rates but the question is impossible to answer....direct linking VS splash pages, skin offers VS diet offers, placements...loads of variables that come into play, i was offering some information based on what i see on a daily basis but i agree with you.
