Hi Warriors, I've recently started a campaign with facebook. I've tested a few different ads, my goal right now is just to get a good ctr. I haven't found a valid use for prosper tracking so far. How can I use prosper without contacting the affiliate program & getting them to add my pixel to my aff page? In your experience, is it hard to get certain sites to do this? I'm running a dating offer btw. I look forward to hearing all of your opinions. Thanks, Divined. |

During the downtime between learning everything I could about ppc & waiting to have enough $ to actually start my first campaign, it seems I may have forgotten something. Someone enlighten me? This may seem like a pointless thread but I'm a full-time college student & I try to find answers as fast as possible from people who know what they're talking about. Divined.

* Which ad copy * Which demographic, interest etc * What day of week and time of day * etc etc etc It's all well and good to know your CTR, but what really matters is if those clicks convert. One ad might have a 2% CTR but no conversions. Another might have only 0.5% CTR but 50% conversions. The first ad has great CTR but in reality it's costing you money and needs to be killed (or at least split tested with a different lander or offer). CTR is only one piece of the puzzle. The worst thing you can have is a great CTR with low conversions - every one of those clicks cost you $$ As for the pixel or callback URL, the majority of CPA networks allow you to create this yourself in the dashboard. If you're working with one of the majors, there should be no need to contact your AM, you can do it all yourself. Cheers

It's definitely necessary. Tracking everything is of course critical and split testing constantly for campaign data is a must, especially if you want to succeed with affiliate marketing.

Tracking is definitely necessary. You need 100% accurate COST data and revenue data. Just having conversions is of no use if you don't know what they cost exactly to get. You can track without pixels by using subids instead. |
