New Way of Tracking?

Hi warriors,

I just dealed with my friend about my banner on his website. I promote a CPA offer and give him a part of profit from every lead he brings through my banner.

I can check his results everytime with his sub id, but he can´t. Of course, I don´t want to give him login informations to my network profile (don´t want him to know my network payouts etc.).

Do you know guys about any method how he could track his results in realtime (or prove it at least once a week) and simultaneously don´t detect the name of network, offer payout etc.?

The only solution I know is take a screenshot in network tracking and cut the band with his sub id...

If the cpa network gives you api access you could write a script that pulls info on that campaign only.

Use tracking software and have a pixel placed on the offer.

There are some great tracking software out there. Sometimes you just gotta do a little research.

For PPC campaigns I used Tracking202. I believe they have a self hosted version as well. Not sure if it'll work with banners but as Jeremy said a simple pixel placement should do it.

What exactly is pixel placement? Does it allow my partner to see his results but don´t payout of that offer, network name etc.? Sorry if this question is stupid, but with my US language level I don´t understand this phrase. I did my research homework but nothing concrete found. Thanx again guys

Yep. Get an account with Tracking202 and use it to track the campaign. You don't have to put the real payout of the offer on the tracking software, you can just put what you pay to your friend.

For example, if the offer pays $5 and you're paying $2.50 to your friend, every time you get a conversion the software will tell your friend that another conversion occurred and he has made $2.50, but he won't know how much the network is paying you.

Good idea William, thanx. So if I understand right, I will install T202 on my computer and set it up to inform my partner with that offer stats? Then he doesn´t need to install the software?

try track202. it is a open source tracking software. You need a hosting to install this tool.
