Need advice

I'm looking for any advice from seasoned designers on a site I'm about to develop.

It's simple concept where schools (about 200) can register their contact details and upload content and a description. The details are uploaded and a webpage with those details are displayed.

I'm not sure whether it best to use wordpress, joomla or just develop from scratch...

Any comments welcome

I'm not a design expert. But I suggest you use wordpress as the platform. It's very easy to install and very customizable.

Depends, use wordpress if you dont have big plans with the site, if you do have big plans i would suggest a custom script, ( in case you want to sell you site later )

Hey its great to hear that you are coming up with a site to designers but you have mentioned that you'll be getting in data from other sites well I feel you should try avoiding this as this is gonna hack ur site down...cause copying matter from other websites is an offense for which you may be caught for violating the websites rules.

Hey I do admit that i must have mentioned something thats in a way does'nt related to the topic but its not that I've replied to completely to some off topic I just replied to what I read in your forum..

I prefer to use Wordpress, it's really user friendly and there are lots of tutorial all over the internet so even beginners can manage a wordpress site.
