Default How Much Money Do I Need to Run a CPA Campaign as an Advertiser? (Not Affiliate!)

Hi,

I'm wondering how much startup capital is necessary to start a CPA campaign as an advertiser. I'm looking at lead campaigns (e.g. $1.00/email), and we have a very strong product in the games/software vertical.

Looking to start a campaign with a CPA network as an advertiser and not an affiliate.

If anyone has experience with this, it would be great if you can share some information.

Thanks.

I think that it depends on the network. Try to contact EWA, Neverblue, Clickbooth and other leading companies in the indutry to get an idea on the costs.

I think that they will also be able to help you make choices regarding the payout. $1/email can be low, considering that a percentage goes to the network and the affiliates would be getting less than a buck per lead. However, there are some offers with low payouts that can turn a decent ROI, so it's hard to say... You really should contact a CPA network.

Couple things.

If you're new to it, you can't just go to a network and say you'll pay $1.00 per email without any kind of path already in place for you to monetize it. If you're looking at just building a list then shutting it down, most networks won't take you on. They want longer term offers with established merchants more then guys just wanting to build a list.

For the very large networks, you've got to pay them to get listed. CJ even requires a monthly payment to them and locks you in for year.

Depends on the network and what you can show them about your offers current EPC's. Some smaller networks might take you on and let you cap it at 1000 registrations, but most that are worth getting on will need you to commit to and more than likely prepay for thousands.

I prefer to run my own traffic, that's just me, but email submits are especially easy to convert. Not to mention they're some of the most defrauded offer types out there so if you're asking about, no offense, but you probably are in way over your head.

You need to understand scrub, have a top tier tracking system in place, understand your average dollar per lead, and quite a bit more.
