Default Should I expect revenue with this traffic ?

Hello. I own a website in cars/car tuning/automotive niche. My site has ~100 unique visitors every day and about 300 page views.
The problem is I don't get any clicks, although I have 2-3 ads in my posts.

Do you guys have any revenue with stats close to mine ? Should I expect any click and revenue ?

What kind of ads do you run? What is your site?

Obviously, before worrying about the revenue those ads could make you, you should try to optimize the clickthrough as good as possible.

Are the ads located above "the fold"? Are they blended well into the content or do they look odd and "stand out" as ads? Are these some random banners not having to do with your niche? Where do your visitors come from? Are they targeted to even be interested in the ads?

You have to give us some more detail in order to get specific help.

Just my opinion but your website isnt designed to be a selling or information required site.

I have found, and again just my opinion, that these kind of sites dont do well for clicks because the user isnt there to buy or get help with anything, they are there to just read the post.

For example if your site was more geared towards the repair niche where people who would likely be searching, those kind of people would be more inclined to click because they are looking for answers, where as at the moment they are just there to read.

You could try auto loans or insurance quote CPA offers but for adsense I dont think you will see great results.

Here's what I see;
Your adsense is above the pictures. When I open your site or any page I see about 1/3rd of the photo and that's what catches my eye not your ads.
So, I scroll right past your ads to see the car and then click on a new car over on the side and repeat the process.

Your ads are not positioned so that they make me want to click on them.

You might be able to gain revenue simply by better ad placement and maybe go to the max allowed via Adsense TOS of 3 ad blocks per web page. More ads more opportunities to click!

I visited the page and i had an extremely tough time finding any links or images that send me to an offer...that could be your problem right there...if people actually inside the industry have a hard time locating the call to actions on your website, consumers are going to have an even tougher time...like back-link said, i would move up some text or banner ad's above the fold and place some emphasis on those....

i do see the three text ad's but the headline of the article is in the same color as the ad's and i bypassed those the first 2 times i scrolled the site...you have a find us on twitter banner on the top right hand, then a large amount of space being taken up by the FB section lower on the page on the right hand side...i would remove that, place a find us on section where the twitter banner is right now, and use that for your social marketing...then take the right hand box currently being taken up by the find us on FB and use that space for 1-2 banners.

Only getting traffic isn't enough, you need to know how to use it.

I recommend you to get a plugin to create an AJAX pop-up (there is a free one on the War Room). Then, offer a free gift (can be a PLR product), capture leads and send people an autoresponder series with 15 - 20 emails promoting offers and also delivering a lot of useful information. Send one email per day and avoid promotional emails, send useful information and make the offers look like complements for what you're teaching them.

Well, I thought about that plugin too, at least to grab some more e-mail subscriptions. I don't really know what to offer instead..

Hi Andrew,

you have enough traffic to make daily revenue. I read that around 1% of website visitors click on an ad, so you'd get 1 click a day at least.
The only thing is to use a combination of text ads and image ads and include them as much as possible on the top of the page. Also make them look an integrated part of the page (colors, text size etc). I did this on my guitar lesson site as well.
Good luck!!

@Roger I've done my best to do that.

@Carlsbadd is just a name.

I think my ads get lost due to the large amount of pictures. Usually my visitors come, look at the photos and leave. Anyone has a possible fix for this ?

Perhaps you should try to implement a content locking tool as soon as a person hits the website, a window appears displaying 4-5 offers, they must fill out 1 of those to see the content on your side, AKA the pictures. Now you're putting the offers right in-front of their face which was an issue for me and some others that posted on this thread.

Honestly speaking, your ads placement is not good and your ad is not attractive. Please to make your ads attractive and place the ads in proper place. But don't make ads very clumsy.
